Griffith has lost 4 of the 5 meetings with Presley and I do not see it happening again. There were some lucky breaks in that loss to him at Watkins.

I think it is great that East stepped up to the plate.
But,
I will say what most are thinking.
It will be nothing short of amazing if things go well. I can see the "chat rooms" with multiple threads about this district already.
I hope I am wrong.
I am pulling for East, but deep down inside it is like pulling for the Cav's this year...just ain't gonna happen.

Kullman a greco national champion? already committed to Cleveland State, he should have a decent shot to win this district. as for Johnson haven't seen him but i know Harble is pretty darn good. Neither will beat Blankenship though, wow.ECOLFAN;676504 wrote:Dirty Scramble you dont have Micah Kullman anyhwere? and you have Keith Johnson finishing 3rd at 189? lol

Re: East High hosting the Districts this year. What type of problems? Just curious, as I am a fan of Central Ohio High School wrestling and have seen vast improvement this year in the way Columbus City Schools have run the events I have attended. I want the event to be a success and it would be helpful to hear suggestions from wrestling supporters and coaches as to what their concerns may be.

To be honest I think the problem with it being at East is that its not located in the best neighborhoods in Columbus and people probably afraid of the people around that neighborhood and dont want people to break into their cars while spectating the tournament. Honestly for me I like it being at East because I live about 5 minutes away from it so it would be easy transportation for me.

I for one am not concerned "about the area"....my concern simply lies around experience. A district tournament is a huge under-taking.....will there be enough "experienced" people in place to run the show smoothly? From what PopKat is saying, maybe that won't be an issue?

I do know that there will be certified officials working the tables. I believe they are trying to due everything in their power to make it run smooth.

From what I understand Bob Triano is running it...If true, he has forgotten more about every aspect of wrestling than most of us will ever know.
