Durkie and DaBrowns-Fair enough. You have to put yourself in my shoes. Tough loss in the Super Bowl and seeing some of those comments when you're emotional and had some drinks just usually doesn't turn out to be a good conversation starter. I have no problem admitting that the loss was heartbreaking. I am upset about it. It will sting for a long time. It hurts. Oh well, that's the price of being a fan.

COA-LOL. I wasn't implying that Green Bay fans are bandwagon. My point was I am congratulating the people who are year-round Packer fans, not the people who were "Packer fans" yesterday because they wanted to see the Steelers lose.

The actual Green Bay fans, well, I tip my cap to them, no ill will and hope they enjoy their celebration. I went to the victory parade for the Steelers after Super Bowl 43 a couple years back and it was awesome. The Green Bay organization is class and one of the best along with Pittsburgh and few others. They made the plays yesterday and the Steelers didn't. The Pack deserved to win. You can't turn the ball over 3 times....one for a score, commit stupid penalties, not force turnovers and expect to win the game.

Congrats to the Green Bay Packers and their fans.

Agree with this actually. Lot of Steelers fans from Ohio... whatever, it's their choice and I don't care nor will I fault them for that. But don't go around afterwords saying "true GB fans" and phrases like that.

Green Bay is a much more likable team than the Steelers or Cowboys just because they had the whole fiasco with Brett Favre... which probably played into why so many people were rooting for GB. People grew to dislike Favre over the past few years and probably wanted to see GB win to justify the move of getting rid of his aging waffling persona.

See my last post for clarification. No bandwagon implied whatsoever. Rather, I was offering congrats to Packer fans, not the people who like a different team but cheered for the Pack against the Steelers yesterday because they hate the Steelers. I'm not naive enough to not expect that. I know that goes on. But I'm not offering kudos to those people. Their team didn't win the Super Bowl. That was the point.

So there is no double standard. I would congratulate a Green Bay fan from Ohio or Pennsylvania or where ever.....if the Packers are their team.

I'm glad to see Rodgers get his.

I've always admired how he handled the whole Brett Favre situation. He conducted himself like a professional and waited his turn. He could have ran his mouth during the Favre retire, unretire, breakup, etc.....but he took the high road.

Co-sign. I've always been a fan of his....except for when he plays the Steelers. But the reasons you stated are why.

Rodgers is definitely a likable guy. And as I stated earlier, I'm sure a lot of people were rooting for the Packers because of the whole Favre situation. And the situation regarding the ownership of the team probably draws in more casual fans too.

Had they played any team other than the Steelers, I would've pulled for them as well and pretty much for those reasons.

Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL. Winning the Super Bowl last night cemented that for me. He'll retire with more than 1 ring, for sure.

He may just be #1 now. Brady and Manning are getting a little long in the tooth. It might be Rodgers time now.

The thing about Brady and Manning is if you make them scramble they are awful. Sure, let them stay in the pocket and they will pick you apart but Rodgers has that ability and he can also make plays on the move.

Their surroundings are also aging, the Pack is young.

Imagine how good the Packers can be in the next several years. They won this year without Ryan Grant, Jermicheal Finley and Nick Barnett and 3 other starters.

Actually I don't. For the most part I stick to the topic at hand and try to be objective as possible....you should try it sometime.

As for the "biggest hypocrite" comment...That is your opinion. Which to me, is worth close to nothing. lol

I too have a feeling that GB will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFC....lots of young talent and a good coach. Lets just hope the labor deal gets sorted.
