He's from a catholic school out west. St. Paris Graham.

As far as the topic, you've got to go with The Monroville Three, Ian Miller and Bo Jordan. Then there's a nice second teir with guys like George DiCamillo, DiJulius, Tavanello and Nick Brascetta. Huston Evans clearly belongs up there as well.

No, I'm not kidding. I grew up 15 minutes from Graham, but live in NW Ohio now, and I don't follow wrestling. I follow it as an outsider b/c of the history of my alma matter and old church, where the Dernlan brothers went. Jeff and Jim Jordan (namely their parents) were members of my home church, so I know their family.
Which leads me to my next question... is Bo Jordan one of Jeff or Jim's sons?

Bo and Micah are Jeff's and Isaac is Jim's.

You wouldn't put Felipe Martinez in the top tier? I certainly would.Bitterrunner-up;664480 wrote:As far as the topic, you've got to go with The Monroville Three, Ian Miller and Bo Jordan. I'm assuming that Ben Jordan was also Jim's? Are there more Jordan's yet to enter high school wrestling?

I would say possible four time champ, he has a tough class this year (him, Newhouse, and Dillon are all very close), and it will only get tougher in those lower weights as the next few years shake out. Very possible, but it's hard to say probable.Standoff22;673851 wrote:There's also Dean Hile from St Eds. Probable 4X State Champ.
Also, i feel like somepeople are overlooking Bobby Blankenship from Jonathan Alder, he may well give Evans a run for his money at the end of the year!

I still think he had Tessari pinned in the final as a 9th grader.....The2cKDude;673990 wrote:oh yea, and a kid named Tyler Heminger from Northmor, kid is a three time state runner-up! would be a three time champ if not for Hunter Stieber and Tessari!

all this and only one guy has mentioned Filipe Martinez? he may well be the best in the state when healthy regardless of weightclass.
Soundly beat Tucker Armstrong last year in the finals, probly the best two kids who wrestled each other in the finals last year (close seconds too Squire-Salupo and Phillips-Utley)

No Sam Wheeler? I think his first name is Sam. From Copley, I think.

As good as Wheeler is (he's excellent), he's the third best 189-pouner in Ohio.Alexcross;677862 wrote:No Sam Wheeler? I think his first name is Sam. From Copley, I think.
