I joined last year. I don't live in the area where this is all taking place, but I do have MUCH contact with all schools in Ohio. That includes high schools and universities. I would appreciate if you would not make false accusations about me or my organization. My screen name was not made up in order to post on this topic. The former owner of JJ Huddle had this problem and of course he had to end up selling his business because he couldn't afford the the legal fees he was about to encounter.
In my post, I gave NO reference to anyone. You assumed I was. I may have been making an analogy. I was just stating why one could/would be frustrated. But I did get the response that I knew would be coming.
Now, this forum, and several posters, could have some major problems because of the personal threats a poster, and this forum, has allowed to be made public. These are some various personal threats against people that have been named in some of the posts.
If you so feel to "ban" me from posting, that is quite fine. This particular "problem" has been copied and if requested, will be given as reference and testimony if called for.
Have a good day, and, I would hope in the future that this forum would refrain from letting situations simular to this from festering so bad.This could get quite involved on the legal side.

First..I'm not a Tuslaw guy. I live out of state just like you; but, one of my best freinds is deeply involved in the Tuslaw scene..in the comunity, at school, and in wrestling. My info is 2nd hand, but this is a guy that has never posted here or anywhere else..nor will he. In fact most of the Tuslaw people will not post out of pure fear of what Nelson might do...both legally and irrationally.
I'll do this in oint style.
1. The state tourney incident. All the people nelson is calling drunks went to the AM session. They went back to the hotel for lunch and were hanging out playing video games with the kids. A few of the adults had a couple beers after eating sandwiches for lunch. Everybody was tired but fully intended to go to see the twins wrestle..even though most reall didn't care to. They did forget the tickets. The cops son drove the van. he had his temps. He was nott unliscensed. this was 3:00 PM in the afternoon (Nelson wrestled for 7th place). How 'drunk' can you get from 1 to 3 PM?.
2. Dean was fine at the banquet and all through the spring and summer. he started his 'Team Nelson' camps and there wasn't much response from his fellow Tuslaw teammates. They aren't into it as bad as he is and quite frankly, most of the kids don't like him anyways. They aren't spending their summers going to HIS camps. Dean started several threads over the summer trashing Horvath and Tuslaw because his camps weren't well attended. he berated Coach Horvath on Yappi so bad that Horvath finally told him that he was no longer welcome in his room. he pulled Dean's mat chair out from under him and that started everything.
3. Dean wants to sit on the mat in the coaches chair for his sons. he was in the chair when his older son Cory won. The old Tuslaw coach let him. dean initiated the 'move' based IMO, soley because HE couldn't be on the mat. He then started in on a Tuslaw football thread in Oct. 2010 that evolved into what we see today. The Tuslaw people were happy to have him gone..if he would have kept his mouth shut over FOOTBALL and calling all Tuslaw parents and kids out..there wouldn't have been this 'underground' movement against him.
4. Joe Logan. The guy he called out as the perpetrator. Joe Jr. quit wrestling on his own because he was starting to do juvenile delinquent crap that his Dad put a stop to and punished him. Joe Jr. quit wrestling out of spite for his punishment..not in support of dean nelson. he might have said some things in anger while fighting with his Dad to 'hurt' his dad (like bringing up nelson) but it was just a kid getting properly punished that turned into an issue. Joe Jr. lives at home with his Dad and all is cool today.
5. Cory Nelson and Perry. Dean claims he pulled Cory out of Perry because of Clint Musser's drunken escapade where he stole a semi and went to jail. That story is true. It happened in Oct. 2003, before Cory's sophomore year at Perry. Perry hired Brian Dolph before the '03-'04 season. cory wrestled '03-'04 AND '04-'05 at Perry. he didn't eave because of Musser. He left after Dolph ran him out of the room for the 100th time and told him not to come back. Dean is also very high on the suspect list that turned Perry Coach Riggs in for distributing booster funds illegally. Another way of dean to get back at someone who ran him off. Perry's Coach Riggs detests Dean Nelson with a passion..I can assure you that.
6. The twins are 'good kids'.
My buddy's daughter goes to school at Tuslaw and is in the popular crowd. She got a text from the twins just this past Saturday to come over to the Tuslaw 'compound' for a swim party. $3 if you want to drink beer as well. In fact..3 Perry wrestlers were there and Coach Riggs found out about it...they have been grounded until sectionals. His twins drink, smoke pot, and are just normal hell raising teenagers. They aren't angels. And..their not 16. They are 17 1/2 right now as sophomores. Their birthdays are in early September..just days before the cut-off. They will be 19 1/2 yrs old when they are seniors competing in the state tourney...probably wrestling some 15 or 16 year olds that year. talk about 'child endangerment'. The waynedale coach made Zach pin the Tuslaw kid during this years' match. Zach was just punishing this kid..he said that was his intention before the match. Luckily, the waynedale coach is a decent man and made him pin and get it over. That's when Horvath didn't send a wrestler out to wrestle Zane. Dean and the twins were intent on inflicting as much 'pain' as possible. Dean did not shake hands with anyone; though the kids did shake hands with some.
7. Dean's family.
You've heard some digs at his 'family photo' and it must be 'old' The reason for that is that Dean's oldest two daughters have nothing to do with him. They have not talked in years. The oldest daughter is a lesbian and Dean disowned her. The 2nd oldest daughter (of which he still lauds ere accomplishments as if she's in the house) is in a biracial relationship that Dean has also disowned her over.
Now..after hearinng all this..you might think I'm freakin crazy. Sorry, but this is the Dean Nelson's story. He is a bigger piece of work than you or me can possibly fathom...and that's not even bringing up the 135 complaints vs. his company with the Ohio Atty general (google Dean nelson Potraits USA for kicks)
He has been in more lawsuits than you can count. One against a company in Tennessee that processes his film. He just flat out refused to pay an $80,000 bill..and drug it on years in court before eventually paying.
I have no doubt he THINKS he is telling the truth. In his twisted mind I guess that is the truth; but it is far from reality.

honestly, this whole thing has turned into white trash dad with a bit of money getting pissed at everyone and everything for not getting his way because he thinks he is so powerful that he should.

No problem , good luck. we are out of the bad part of this and this will be covered well in the paper and other media. The law not Private club rules apply from here on. Real people after ID themselves going forward and my wife does appreciate the shut down if unrelated parts of our life were going to be game now. Again thanks for the support while it lasted . I have never went thru this kind of fight before the light you allowed on OHIOCHatter did open some doors for us and got good people envolved..
