Preparing for being snowed in ….

Looks like a good ice and snow storm come our way.

So what do you do to prepare for the potential 2 or 3 days of being snowed?

For the Belly family:
1. Plan for some interesting meals. Something we would not normally cook. If I’m going to be home I’m going to enjoy my meals.
2. Lot of fire wood …..closer to the house
3. I will have some work to do from the office I can do at home.. if I get to it

We do a few other things but I’ll let other post some of theirs….

I prepare by continuing on with my day as I would any other day.

Make sure there is plenty of liquor and firewood. That's really all we need.

It is AWFUL here. The wind and snow already canceled all the stuff tonight.

It's supposed to be a high of 5 the next two days. Tonight's and tomorrow's lows are going to be -12 (air temp) with reaching nearly -30 with the wind chill. Wednesday isn't supposed to be much better.

Doesn't look like we're going to get the "snowed in" weather. *Sigh*

Wife got groceries last night, should be good.

Have a 5 yr old son with Celiac Disease. Always a concern that he has plenty of gluten-free food...even more so when the weather is predicted to get bad.

I hit both the liquor store and the grocery store today. Have plenty of firewood and batteries for the flashlights and portable radio.

Bring it on bitch.

I've never been snowed in my house a day in my life. Don't ever see it happening either.

I've never been snowed in to the point I wouldn't be able to make it anywhere. However, if there's bad weather and I don't have anywhere I must be, I usually am pretty well prepared. We would be ok without going anywhere for 2-3 days, but I usually will make sure I have enough baking/cooking supplies for my pile of "special projects" I never seem to have any time to do.

if that is the case, then you were not in NW Ohio in 1978. Nothing happened anywhere for 3-4 days.

Just got an 18-pack and a bottle of Jack. Gonna spruce up the place and do some laundry, and also post belligerent things on here. Basically my daily schedule already.
