Line up is announced tomorrow...any guesses? I am also interested to see what the free party on Friday will entail.

Apparently at their concert in Cincy over the weekend Avenged Sevenfold told the crowd they were coming....that sucks they are definitely not my cup of tea, especially their new cd. According to wikipedia Saving Abel also had posted on their site that they were coming, which also makes me puke a little. Im just hoping for a miracle and the possibility of Tool and/or System of a Down headlining. Rumors are of Linkin Park possibly headlining, which wont be bad if they play stuff from their first cd. Im just hoping for great bands on the smaller stages, like amazing shows in years past from Static-X, Clutch, Killswitch Engage and Mastodon.

I actually like Avenged so I'm not mad about that. Saving Abel...boo. I saw Linkin park in 2003 and the put on a phenomenal show so I would love to see them again. Honestly...I am not that hard to please (TWSS). I've gone twice and loved it both times...it's just a fun two days no matter what for me.

i've gone the last two years and what makes the whole thing worth it are the bands on the second and jager stages. Luckily, i only have to pay about 50 bucks to see both days. I really wont have feelings until they announce all the bands. But the trend set so far with saving abel and avenged sevenfold makes me think im going to save my money and go to Summer Camp. At least i know i wont have to put up with pregnant hillbillies yelling at me for smoking a god damn joint at Summer Camp.

tool/system of a down would be nice, cant say i'd enjoy sitting through Linkin Park either. Just dont bring back motley crue. ever.

Yeah, Avenged Sevenfold announced that they'll be there at their concert on Saturday in Cincy. I can't wait, they kill it every time live.

A Day To Remember is also going to be there.

You know, I'm not the biggest A7X fan in the world, but I went with my brother to the show in Cincy. I saw them at ROTR there a couple of years ago and wasn't real impressed. This show Saturday was totally different. I was blown away. If they bring something like that show to Columbus, it will be a good time. Assuming they headline, hopefully they can bring the whole setup like Rob Zombie last year.

And after thinking it over, it wouldn't surprise me if all of the bands on that tour show up at ROTR. Hollywood Undead and Stone Sour both have new albums out/coming out, and neither has been there before.

I've seen A7x many times as they are my favorite band and I'll admit that last time they were at ROTR, it wasn't the best performance. It was good, but just nothing compared to their usual amazing performances. However, keep in mind that was their last show of a very, very long and taxing tour. Seeing as how that ROTR performance was the last time they ever played live with Jimmy as their drummer, I see them coming back to Columbus with a very heavy heart and completely ripping the place up.

I'm pretty sure Stone Sour is going to be there too. On Saturday Corey said we'll be seeing you all a lot sooner than you think, so I think that's a pretty good indication. I just wish they were better live. Every time I see them live I just get bored with them, even though I'm a fan of pretty much anything they've put out.

So who's the headliner? Very underwhelming lineup there. I was hoping to make my first trip there this year, but I don't see any reason to waste my money.

Looks like APC and A7X are the headliners. The line up as a whole is pretty weak.

Excited for A7X, ADTR, Bullet for my Valentine, Alter Bridge, Trust Company, The Damned Things (Scott Ian's killer new band), and Finger Eleven. Everyone else I either don't like or I've already seen plenty of.

eek. while i have enjoyed the festival in the past, that lineup ensures i wont be extending it to a third. The only band i have interest in seeing from the show would be Danzig. its a shame.

My theory is you can't please every one all the time. I have literally seen people say this is the best line up yet and others say it is the worst. I could ask 5 different people and they would all pick a different year. As long as I like a few of the bands I will still go. I've spent $90 on tickets to one concert with 4 bands so slightly more for 2 days and that many bands is worth it to me. I also get to have an amazing weekend with friends and family (specifically my brother that flies in from AZ each year to attend) so it's easily justifiable.

I've never been one to like the Rock on the Range line ups. I just don't like the type of bands they usually get. But not every music festival has to be one with bands that I like.

So is Maynard going to be the frontman for APC? I heard Tool is in the studio working a new album.

I'm with Fab on this. With 40 bands, you would think there would be something for everyone. I will say it isn't the greatest lineup, but there are a few bands on there that I haven't seen that will be cool. (Danzig, Alter Bridge, All That Remains) I'll probably go and hang with my brother and friends and have a pretty good time.

And maybe I am reading too much into it, but there are 40 bands listed on that flyer, counting Lez and Steel Panther. The flyer also says over 40 bands. Maybe someone gets added? I know in years pasts bands have been switched out after the lineup is announced. I think Cold was supposed to play last year but was replaced by Taproot.

Saturday: Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Staind, Alter Bridge, Sick Puppies

Sunday: A Perfect Circle, Disturbed, Stone Sour, BFMV, A Day To Remember, Saving Abel, Evans Blue

Fuckin' shit. I was really hoping BFMV and ADTR would be on the same day as A7X. I plan on going just one day.

Charlie,

I'm not claiming to be an expert, or have any insider information but that just seems to be what I could piece together. Some bands listed the specific day, some didn't. On the A7X page, it specifically says Saturday in their post. ADTR has the 22nd listed on the events tab on their FB page. BFMV has the 22nd listed right on the bandpage of their FB page.
