It wasn't even necessarily targeted at your comment. That is indeed something that happens, though, and I don't get it.

Thank you, kind sir. I would very much like to be called that. Please continue.

Founders Porter is incredible. Definitely one of the best porters I've ever tasted.

Never tried the founders porter. I forget who it was (was it you? lol) that was saying they like their porter better than breakfast stout.

This was my first time trying it so it wasn't me. But I've had Founders Breakfast Stout before and the porter is right up there with it.

I was going through my stash last nite looking for something to share with the guys while we bottle our home brew. I found two bottles of Breakfast stout. They were near the bottom of my stash so I'm thinking they might date back to 2006 or 2007. They will be staying here.

I'll be taking a Rivertown Ville De Rivere Geuze, a Frangelic Mountain, and a St Bernardus Abt 12. The St B to get a little taste of the Westvleteren, which I'll be getting on Wednesday. It's close to the Westy in flavor.

We didn't drink the Frangelic or the St B today as they had family in town so we left early. We did have the Rivertown and a Trappist Rochefort 10 that I decided to take last second.

Currently having a Chimay Blue. Not as good as the Rochefort, but decent.

Oh forgot about our bottling process. We ended up with 49 bottles. We lost some due to our barrel leaking and not trying to get to much sediment in the bottles. Well that and in the transfer process to the secondary fermenter last week.

We did sample the finished product prior to bottling. Strong coffee. We went with all Sumatra instead of the Kona and Sumatra blend. Didn't get a large flavor of chocolate, but could feel it's thickness on the tongue. Was just a bit sweet which hopefully should help with the carbonation. Should turn out pretty nice...hopefully.

Got a Chimay blue sitting in the cellar as well. I saw an episode of Newbeerthursday where they had a 12 yr old chimay. I'd like to sit on mine that long, we'll see.

I'd like to age one that long, but I'm not sure if I'll live that long. Then The Wife will get it instead of me.

It's 3:00AM. I'm enjoying a Double Bastard to some Chris Botti and working on a new ecommerce website.

Haven't been this relaxed in a long time. Feels good.

That they are. There is a sign up sheet for it and I'm number seven on the list. It all depends on how much they'll get compared to the demand for it. The list was up to 11 last I checked on Saturday. One per household.

Went to go buy a couple Stone Imperial Russian bombers but they were sold out. I picked this up instead and thought it was really good.

Drinking my Stone VE 10-10-10, is a Belgian Pale Ale. Is a decent beer, but not nearly as good as 09-09-09.

They also had Epic Imperial IPA. Side by side, the stone won hands down. They Epic tasted more like a double with a carmelly, citrus back drop. Awesome as it was, you can't go wrong with Stone.

Th wife is gonna be pissed having to drive me to work tomorrow and then back to get my truck.

Maybe a sick day will be in order.
