Latest beer. It's a dark IPA that we added a shitload of dark and chocolate malts to which gives it a nice roastiness and malt presence that really balances out the nice hopiness of it all.

Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat. Second the don't know about 3Floyds.sherm03;1297833 wrote:Going to Indianapolis for a few days for work. Any suggestions on beers to pick up while I'm there that I can't get in Ohio besides Fat Tire?
They are.Commander of Awesome;1297979 wrote:On to Brown Shugga' Lagunitas beer. Great brew, similar though fails in comparison to Double Bastard. Speaking of Stone, picked up 2 IRS tonight, I'm sure they're fantastic. $6 here for a bomber, vx the close to $10 I used to pay.
You can brew your own beer but can't use a mouse made after '95? lolI Wear Pants;1297960 wrote:

How was the Gonzo? I like most of what I've had from Flying Dog.Raw Dawgin' it;1298081 wrote:I had this last night - Flying Dog Gonzo (Imperial Stout, 9.2%). Flying dog is local to me so i tend to get it a lot. They had a free tasting at my beer store last week and i really liked the stuff. They also have a hop free IPA, which tasted nothing like an IPA haha
I really liked it. I like that it's in a 6 pack and not a bomber, 2 of these and i would've really been feeling it.O-Trap;1298145 wrote:How was the Gonzo? I like most of what I've had from Flying Dog.
I don't think I've ever had an Imperial Stout that wasn't potent like that. I'll have to look for it.Raw Dawgin' it;1298149 wrote:I really liked it. I like that it's in a 6 pack and not a bomber, 2 of these and i would've really been feeling it.
Haha, actually have Amazon shipping me a new one.Raw Dawgin' it;1298038 wrote:You can brew your own beer but can't use a mouse made after '95? lol
That Gonzo is an incredible Imperial Porter. I've had it on a few occasions and plan on having more when the weather turns colder, by colder I mean below 90 degrees.O-Trap;1298156 wrote:I don't think I've ever had an Imperial Stout that wasn't potent like that. I'll have to look for it.
I agree, Gonzo is really good. One of the few beers I like from Flying Dog. Although the 'Imperial Porter' bothers me for some reason, doesn't make any sense.Curly J;1298178 wrote:That Gonzo is an incredible Imperial Porter. That's a Trojan helmet. Easy mistake to make. A gonzo is where [AD Sense].Raw Dawgin' it;1298275 wrote:Isn't a Gonzo where you put your balls over a girls eyes and the dick hangs down the nose, like Gonzo from the muppets?

Technically it should be, but Flying Dog calls it an Imperial Porter.Raw Dawgin' it;1298303 wrote:whoops!
@BORIS why wouldn't it be called an imperial stout?
That article is long and pretentious, i stopped reading half way through and found a better one. I was googling before you posted and that was the first hit.Commander of Awesome;1298319 wrote:http://www.beerconnoisseur.com/porter-versus-stout
The answer to the question: "What's the difference between a stout and a porter" is that originally a stout was simply a strong version of porter: today the difference is whatever you want it to be.
This is why 'Imperial Porters' don't make much sense. But there are a lot of beers that fit into different classes and brewers can call them whatever.Commander of Awesome;1298319 wrote: originally a stout was simply a strong version of porter
