I will say that I only saw the first two smithville scrimmages in person and they managed a whopping 30 yards give or take against loudonville and crestview... could have been a little more but not much more. now I will say the d looked ok with some potential but nothing I'd be real exited over. I realize there were 3 guys out. so I'm sure they'll improve. I did not see the east knox game but heard they were solid looking, then again I've seen east knox and besides a couple skill kids they have.... they aren't going to be good use as a good measuring stick scrimmage IMO.

Although I tend to agree with the Crestview prediction, I think NW is going to be more ready than most are giving them credit. I think if we get beat, it is in the trenches. Although quick, our line is just not very big compared to others. We do have some bulls that can move the ball if they are used in the right situations. I believe the outside edges of our defense will also be key to keeping their RB in check. Although, our middle is young and untested mostly.

I am not basing too much on Smithvilles scrimmages, I can remember during the "glory days" there were a couple years that Smithville did not score a touchdown in scrimmages and went on to win the league and make the playoffs. I have also witnessed them being outstanding in scrimmages and have an awful season. At this point it is a crap shoot. If Smithville stays healthy, maybe they can get the program back on track. It has been tooo long since we had much to cheer about in the Emerald City.

I just strolled back through this thread and I really didnt see where anybody from Norwayne was "getting ahead of themselves". The only one I saw on here talking Norwayne smack was Mr. M and from what I can gather he's not a Bobcat. Did I miss something?

Rittman at Danville - Danville ( a very good Jr rb)

Mapleton at Hillsdale - Hillsdale (Falcons name the score)

Garaway at Dalton - Garaway ( about 70-80 roster members....a returning core of talented players with a very good QB)

Tusky Valley at Waynedale - Waynedale (Slobberknocker...this may be a shoot out as TV has a receiver that can take it to the house at any time and a pretty good QB)

Smithville at Tuslaw - Smithville (tossup...hoping the smithies have something here as Tuslaw was less than impressive when I saw them)

Wellington at Norwayne - Norwayne (Norwayne may be on the verge of a dream season)

Chippewa at Norton - Norton (Chipps...are, well...The Chipps)

Northwestern at Crestview - Crestview (Crestview has the horses to run wild....)

Can the WCAL go 4-4????
