I heard from a couple of friends that Steubenville Big Red won a contest sponsored by Nike and will Get new uniforms of their own design for free.
Anyone have any information on this contest and has Big Red decided on a design?
Will the colors stay the same and will they have them for next season?

The colors stay the same, for more info you can go to WTOV9.com for the total story. They were the winner of some essay for Nike & the new uniforms will be similar to the ones Nike did for WVU this past season. The players will have a say in what the uniforms look like.

Haha I just figured I'd say it before the ppl who hate stueby did. I for one don't. Love towns that are "football" towns and think it will be sweet to see the new uni's.

Which will beg the question:

Who has changed uni's more in the past 10 years, Massillon or Steubenville

I was talking about the color scheme.example as the helmets being red and pants being a solid color or will they go with more multi colors on the uniform.

I still think Ursuline has the best uniforms in Ohio personally made by Under Armour:

This is what Nike stated in its original application:

5. What can my team win?
The Winner‟s school will receive one (1) uniform for each member of their varsity football team (not to exceed 80 total uniforms), which
include a jersey, pants and a Nike Pro Combat Short (approved by National Federation Specs), approximate retail value: up to
$24,800 ($310 per uniform). The Coach of the Winner‟s school will need to submit their 2010 varsity roster to verify total number of
uniforms to be provided and work with a NIKE representative to place the order.
Any prize details not specified above will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Prizes are not transferable and must be
accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize
with another prize of equal or greater value if the prize is not available for any reason as determined by the Sponsor in its sole
discretion. The winner is responsible for taxes, if any, and any and all other costs and expenses not listed above.

If they're pro-combat, they're probably going to be ugly as hell. Not a slam on Big Red (congrats for winning), but prepare to look like a red and black version of the Oregon Ducks.

So they only get 1 uniform set? Will it be worn for all home games, or just a 1-time thing like OSU did with their pro combat set?

We switch the uniforms up so often, it will probably just fall into the rotation somewhere. It isn't like Big Red has an away set of unis and a home set. There are something like 20 different combinations that were already used. If I were to guess, I would say that these will be used a couple of times per year (including playoffs).

I think the pro combat style uni's are awesome. And some of oregons uni's are ugly, but most are pretty cool. They are creative to say the least.

I guess who needs away uniforms when you play 7 road games per year.

And about the Ursuline uni's above.....the only thing that would make them better would be a little darker shade of green. They just look a little faded, but that's just me.
