Anyone here a member or used to be a member? The wife and I are thinking about joining, mostly because they are open 24/7. Right now there is no membership or application fee, which I guess is normally at least $50. Cost is $109.90 per month for a couple. Just wondering if anyone here has a membership and if they think it's worth it and what you pay if you don't mind sharing. The man we spoke with told us it used to be $99 a month 3 years ago when they opened but nobody pays less than that. We took a tour and it seems great, only think I don't like is there is no track.

My family belonged to the one at Easton after it opened for about 2 years. Which was eh, 8-10 years ago....

I loved it, I used to spend my Sunday nights there playing basketball. But at that time it was a small fortune to join, nothing like these places are now.

None of which answers any questions you have lol.

I didn't really work out much while we were members, but that was mainly because I did that at my high school. I always felt it was too big and too overwhelming(at the time) with all the shit they had upstairs.

Thanks for the info Wildcats, I get the overwhelmed feeling too. They put $5mil of improvements into each location every 5 yrs so the one you went to is probably much bigger now.

F that, I refuse to run in temps under 55 degree unless I am officiating.

My local rec is $250 a year for a family with 25m pool, 1/10 mile track surrounding the two full size basketball courts, cardio and weight room.

not a fan of Urban Active. We toured one here, and although it's fairly new everything felt old. Ours also doesn't have a track, although another location about 10mins away does.

I do most of my exercising after dark, parks and cemetaries are not an option. I could run through our neighborhood, but I want a place I can take care of lifting and other activities also. Plus a track is almost a must since I do sprints.
