Good game, one of the best I've seen all season. Kinda disappointing SDSU couldn't keep it closer towards the end for a more exciting finish and push Jimmer to score more. It's gonna be tough figuring out how far these teams will go in the tournament.

Yeah, what an awful missed call.

Overall, really impressed by BYU and especially their main scorer, I think he got 41 or so tonight.
SDSU just ran of of steam and settled for jump shots. That drought just killed them at the end. Plus, their poor FT shooting did not help. SD had a chance to cut the lead to 4, but missed both Free throws and then BYU made a bucket, pushing up to 8.

Both teams are top 10 teams to me, with BYU a maybe top 5 (only loss to UCLA).

I never understood all the hype surrounding SDSU this year. I mean, who have they beat that is ranked? They've only played two teams currently in the top 25 and lost to one of them by double digits. Good team I'm sure but maybe deserving of a ranking around 20-25 or so, at best. IMO Just checked their results/schedule for the season and nothing jumped out except a bunch of 10-15 pt wins vs. average-to-decent teams.

I did see that. I wanted to hit him with a H.O.P. after I saw that. It is good to see a lot of players both in college basketball and the NBA take notice of what Fredette is doing though.

ESPN.com has a SN poll on the homepage asking who is the NPOY.

Last I looked, Fredette is winning with 50% of the vote with Sullinger in 2nd at 22%.

It would be a huge mistake for people to look past SDSU just because of 1 loss, where everyone watched.

They won 25 last year, and return I think 4 starters. 25 wins in a conference that featured 2 top 10 teams (not SDSU) and another ranked squad last year was impressive. They will win 30 games this year for a reason. They are very good...just that BYU is very good as well.

I only watched about ten minutes of the game and the officiating I saw was awful. From what I saw, the refs were handing BYU the game.

Then again, I only watched the final ten minutes or so.

Just like any level of basketball officiating. You are going to have the worst college bball officials doing the lesser conferences. Now, MWC is historically a decent conference, but the officiating wont ever be that of the top 6 conferences.
