Little Ender is going to Seoul in March and wants to stay in one. I have no experience with them but I figure someone here does.

All I can think of is the movies where they kill people.

My cousin stayed in hostels in Germany and a neighboring country...he had no problems. His only bitch was that he was not allowed to have alcohol or tobacco in the hostel.

Check review boards. My cousins did a 2 week backpack trip through Europe this summer and had no problems, but I think I would feel more comfortable in a hotel in Seoul.

He was there for 3 months I believe. It was a program that was ran through Alderson Broaddus college in West Virginia. He wasn't alone...there was around 5 or 6 other students with him and a guide/professor.

I stayed in them all over Europe.....great times. Of course there are grimy ones, just need to book at the right spots.

http://www.hostelbookers.com/ is what I always used. For the most part the reviews from this site are spot on.

www.hostels.com is also good.

I have no experience with Asia or know anyone that has. Just make sure you do your research.

If I ever stay in a hostel, I can only hope that it is as depicted in the movie. Minus the murdering. The brown haired chick was really really hot and was pretty easy

Hostels are not too bad you just have to remember you get what you pay for and its not going to be as spacious as a hotel. But you meet some fascinating people. As far as Asia I haven't stayed in Seoul but the last couple weeks I've been staying in Hostels in eastern China and in Singapore and its been great. If your looking for a cheap place to sleep hostels are the way to go. You can check out hostels.com and hostelworld.com and read some of the reviews.

Why is Ender Wiggin posting on his own thread using a Asian name?

I stayed in one. Some cops cut my arms off...and then my legs...and then gutted me....and then sucked my balls. I fuckin hate cops. Until they suck my balls.

Pay them no mind. Just some silly children who get verbally battered then resort to childish antics when they have nothing of substance to add.

Youll see that a lot here.

My daughter an two friends traveled to Europe for a month and stayed in hostel. Some where very good, nice and clean others where bad ... and when there are bad they are very bad.
Simple fact is you have to take care of your stuff and watch who you meet.

Hostels in Europe are usually good and pretty safe. Not sure how much I'm trusting a hostel in Seoul, South Korea though...
