Agreed. That score for The Social Network is good, just not Hans Zimmer good

Yeah I felt like the Social Network's score only had to maintain one tone and mood throughout, whereas Inception had to at times build tension, increase the frantic pacing, then quickly switch to moments that were slow and emotional.

I really think the old Wendy from Hook should get it, but it probably won't happen.

Pretty predictable Oscars, I just can't believe I get to breathe the same air as Oprah does too.

The King's Speech was a great movie, but 80% of it was two men in a room talking, and it told a small part of a story that shaped a generation. The Social Network was a creative and beautiful picture that defines this generation. In my humble opinion, The Social Network Should have won Best Picture.

Social Network should have won best picture for sure. King's Speech is a good film but it was a pretty standard Oscar contender film. The Social Network was the only one that really did anything interesting.

Didn't mean interesting in the "this film is entertaining sense" I meant it in the film making sense.
Inception was an awesome sci-fi-ish film. But it to me wasn't the best achievement in cinema this year. The Social Network was.

Looks like Franco and Hathaway are getting BBQed today. Apparently twitter was exploding last night from all the criticism the show was getting

That's because they were beyond not funny. The opening bit where they edit them into all of the big movies was alright, but not the most creative thing in the world, and their opening "monologue" just wasn't funny. I'm sure someone write it for them, but there as very little humor in it. Usually those openings are edgy and hilarious. This one was far from it. And they even joked around about them being selected as the hosts to make the Oscars more hip to appeal to a younger audience. If that was the goal, the attempt failed miserably. I blame the producers more that I blame them, for choosing them and for coming up with a completely uninteresting show. It's amazing that a program designed to honor entertainment could be so unentertaining.
They would have been better off having 94 year old Kirk Douglas hosting. He presented one of the awards and even though you could hardly understand what he was saying her was hilarious!

Im pretty sure Franco was stoned out of his mind. I believed this to be true after his interview with one of the ABC people about 10 minutes before the show started.

I still don't understand why people follow award shows.

saw a tweet about a janet jacksonesque wardrobe malfunction, so i turned to it and watched for a little bit, not fun at all.
this is the first time in a long time where i had only seen 2 movies that were featured.
