Grade 2 mcl is a partial tear. Grade 1 is sprain and grade 3 is fully torn.
I torn mine this season and ended up missing the second half and the next week. I was able to stand but I leaned on my good leg more. It took that whole next week and the week of practice before the game I played before I could cut and change direction. Your knee just doesn't stick when planted. It takes away your strength immediately.
Im not saying he isn't a shitty teammate just my take on the injury.
