Billups? Hmm, bit of a stretch IMO.
I am not saying he is as good as Billups or that he will ever be.I do think his game is similar and he does for OSU what Billups has done for his teams in the NBA. Defend, distribute, and hit open shots. That is what Craft brings to the court.

Aaron Craft is simply a blue collar basketball player.

I have no worries at all with him not bringing 100% to the floor each night. The kid has a motor and drives the offense when he is on the floor.

Hopefully he wins the B10 DPOY because right now he deserves it.

I'm sitting here wondering how Craft would fare defending Jimmer Fredette. Jimmer is 6'2 and about 195 - close to the same size as Craft. I'm sure he would do a far better job containing Jimmer than SDSU did.

I know they mention his QB days on the telecast all the time but if you guys ever got to see him on the football field returning kicks or playing DB as well as behind center, you would have seen his lateral quickness and directional changes long ago in HS. There is a video on scoutingohio.com from his Sophomore year that has shows his athletic potential early in his HS career. It will be interesting to see where he takes it on the basketball court. I guess the decision he made sitting out his senior year of football to work on his basketball skills was the right one.

Any kid that ends up (not knowingly) costing Bruce Pearl a suspension and a million dollars is OK in my book.

Jawbreaker....agree with you....watching Aaron play football and basketball in HS, I thought he might play football at the next level. Definitely was very good on the BBall court the games I watched, but seeing him on Friday nights making the moves he did was special. Watching Aaron play Bball, I knew he would be a good player in D1, but I figured a role spot for him.......glad I was wrong...very fun watching him start to excel at this level.

Didnt watch teh game because honestly didnt think it was gonna be close Vs Northwestern.

But looking at the boxscore looks like Crafts defense was slackin this game, or is the box score in this case misleading?

Probably more attributable to NW running the Princeton O more than anything. Something they've not faced. They all got a little frustrated at times w/NW running down the whole shot clock.

looks like talent runs in the family...

Basketball: Craft reaches 1,000 career points

Liberty-Benton junior Caitie Craft surpassed the 1,000-point career scoring mark.

Craft poured in 30 points Saturday in the Eagles’ 66-34 girls basketball win over St. Ursula.

The 5-foot-8 Craft, who has 1,025 career points, also pulled down 10 rebounds in the victory for Liberty-Benton, which is 13-2 and ranked fifth in the Division III state poll.

She is averaging 21.3 points per game and 6.9 rebounds a game.

Craft helped lead the Eagles to a 27-0 season and a D-III state title last year. She scored 19 points in a 66-44 win over Madison in the championship game.

Craft is the sister of Ohio State freshman guard Aaron Craft.

The ESPN announcer doing the Tennessee/Kentucky game gave his Top 5 Freshman. Of course Sullinger was one, he also included Aaron Craft in his Top Five. He said no way would Ohio State be #1 and undefeaed without Craft.
