We just got on the road. My fiancé our 2 children and our Mastiff are all piled into our Yukon. I will check in through out.

The economy is booming there, lots of jobs. Have 1 son that has lived there for 2 years and just moved another one there this past thanksgiving weekend. He got a job offer the day after we got there making 15.00 per/hr with benefits. Not bad for a 21yr old with no College. It's cold and snowy there but you adjust, absolutely beautiful scenery even in the winter.

Oh man, I couldn't imagine living there. Only place worse* than ND that comes to mind when I think of places to live in the USA is Iowa.

Weather is cold. I am in South Dakota and it has been single digits for 3 straight days, with the nights getting into the minuses. We have 20 inches of snow on the ground that's been here for over a month -- same snow, just doesn't melt and more keeps piling on top.

Last year was awful. We didn't reach 30 degrees for 40+ days straight.

I am looking to get out of here. It's been nice for the almost 2 years I've been here. People are good. Spring, summer, and fall are nice; the winters are the worst though. Travel sucks...it takes FOREVER to get anywhere. Bugs have been awful, mosquitoes as big as dimes. Wind is awful. But there's opportunities here. Just not for my line of work, maybe at a lower level though. I miss the hills and trees of Ohio (and Kentucky), at least the part of Ohio I am part of. I could stay here if it weren't for friends and family in those states.
