I don't like picking against the home team when top 25 teams play each other. I think the Bucks may be looking at a loss tomorrow.

Let's see....
1. The Buckeyes are undefeated.
2. The Buckeyes have just been ranked #1 in the nation.
3. The Buckeyes are traveling to a hostile basketball arena.
4. The Illini are coming off a 9 point win over #18 MSU.
5. Illinois is pretty good.
6. The Buckeyes are playing in front of a national TV audience.
Yep...all the mojo is pointing to Ohio State's first loss of the season. Go ahead - call me a hater.

Nobody is going to call you a hater because I think we all realize that OSU is going to have a few losses before seasons end. No team goes undefeated and OSU is bound to lose.
If it happens, oh well.

how does picking against the Buckeyes in this game qualify you as a hater? as far as I'm concerned, any time you go on the road for a conference game, especially while wearing the #1 ranking, you're in for a dog fight...but for me, I'm still picking the Buckeyes

Agreed. They are going to lose sooner or later. I don't expect them to be undefeated when the season is over. This will be a huge test, but I'm still hoping for a win.

This is where I'm at. You look at the key road games ahead: Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin and Minnesota and figure OSU has to at least split those four, defend its home court all season, and don't get upset at Northwestern or at PSU to have a great chance to win the league.

This game has me concerned. The Buckeyes must get on the defensive glass. I see the Illinois bigs pulling Sully and/or Lauderdale outside in order to cover their outside shooting and leaving other Buckeyes to get the board - well, that will call for Diebler and Buford to work a little harder on the glass today. I hope someone steps up to that challenge. In short, the Bucks better rebound the ball today.
Also, getting off to a good start is vital. The crowd at Illinois is wild and it would be great to see them on their fannies watching the game.

Going to miss this one on TV today.
Will have my headphones with me though. Call me crazy, but have a GOOD feeling about this game. If OSU can stay out of foul trouble, keep the crowd out of it as much as they can, I think they can go into Ill and win.
67-62 OSU.

When I first looked at OSU schedule I had this pegged as their second loss (Florida). For some reason Ive always had the feeling, I guess opposite of you, on this one. They have a tough stretch coming up though regardless.
