Nothing much going on here. It's snowing, but not accumulating. I've noticed that local high school sporting events for the evening are already being canceled, so it's either supposed to get much worse or people are panicking in advance.

You are exactly right.

And they still have outside recess. The only time they close is when the wind causes awful snow drifts. The only time they don't have outside recess is when the temperature/wind chill hits so far below zero (don't know when it is).

But, I will say, it is a lot easier to drive and be able to have school when this part of the state hasn't seen a single hill bigger than a molehill. It's as flat as an ironing board. Add some hills in here...no way would there be school (my guess).
