Same old stuff floating around with Reardon. According to our paper last week, Harding wanted to announce their new head coach on March 4th, but the Ursuline banquet is this weekend. About that for timing, if it is for sure Reardon.skank;698734 wrote:Any word?

Hearsay has it that Reardon has refused the WGH offer, and is staying at Ursuline. Stay tuned

Perhaps refused the offer to consider Boardman?

What would be the bigger attraction to Boardman? I don't know, but I would think WGH would draw more interest.

You never know? But there must have been a snag in the offer that he was thinking about, because he was offered a few days before the Boardman opening

Does he have ties to Boardman? I don't see it as being any more attractive unless he has a connection. I honestly don't know much about Reardon, generally don't pay attention to Ursuline/Mooney.

There is a board meeting Tuesday in Warren. Hoping a deal is closed out by then, and a new coach is in place. No other comment now

I think its in the best for Harding. Now hopefully they can hire a true class individual.

Is that official? He seems to be able to help turn programs around but he doesn't seem to be in for the long haul. Hopefully Harding won't be searching again in a couple of years.ldog81;703264 wrote:jeff bayuk is the new harding coach

Filtz withdrew as well per 21WFMJ. You guys probably knew that though.

Don't know a whole lot here, someone else could maybe chime in. Bayuk started coaching in the mid to late 80's at Canfield. He was the head coach at Hubbard for most of his tenure, like maybe 91-2006. He was the head coach at Campbell Memorial in 2009. He is currently an assistant for Howland right now. He did have a very good winning percentage at Hubbard. He also turned Campbell around, they were a 1-9 team, and he got them to playoffs the following year.

Bayuk won most of his games at Hubbard and also made the playoffs there often. Canfield, Hubbard & Campbell usually saw solid D teams and I formation FB. Heavy emphasis on a Power Run game. Not that great a detail with a pass game. Hubbard, however, played a schedule in which they played far weaker or smaller programs ( non- league with Cleveland City schools often). Was in a league in which they were the biggest enrollment school. Didn't get far in the playoffs. He'll face a challenge at WGH.

This coach has not been officially announced yet. I know you guys will be looking for revenge next year. One thing you will not have to worry about, is the WGH RB that gained over 300 yards rushing in last years game. He has graduated, and off to college ball.

Can't believe WGH is having this much trouble finding a coach. So Bayuk declines where do they go from here?

Either this writer made a huge mistake or Harding must have sweetened the pot a bit, and Filtz is reconsidering

The paper is covering the Board's butt. This has been a total fiasco
