Anyone else seriously misled by these commercials as a kid? You see your favorite NBA stars playing a mean game of 1 on 1 with Sprite as their replenishment?

I still remember going out and grabbing Sprite for my drink to play ball outside once. My mom was like "You want some gatorade?" And I'm like "Nah, I got my Sprite"

Then I remember puking. Apparently pop and playing basketball doesn't mix?

Who thought of this marketing scheme to combine pop with making it seem like Gatorade?

I want to meet this man.

I never got the soft drink commercials as a thirst quencher. Pepsi has one out now with Mark Sanchez of the Jets chugging on a 2 liter of Pepsi. Really thats the last thing I want when I'm all hot and sweaty! Water or Gatorade/Powerade, ect...for me.

The only thing worse is I remember a milk commercial where people were playing basketball, and the people drinking sports drinks and pop were really slow and tired and the dude drinking milk was awesome. Who the hell would ever drink milk while playing basketball?
