It's just like the Biggest Loser..

"OMG I'm so happy.. I can't stop crying.. I lost 200 lbs! I'm down to 210lb and I'm a 25 year old female! YESSS"

Fuckin lame.

Yeah I don't know I have never watched Biggest Loser. It seemed like both people were pretty genuine.

Let me know when the show that celebrates those of us that didn't balloon up to 400 pounds to begin with comes out.

Do you mean every tv show that shows a size 2 woman and a guy that's ripped?

Well those people didn't balloon up to 400 pounds as you said it. They are being rewarded by being idolized and being labeled as most desirable by most if not all in our society. Those people are virtually everywhere we look in every medium.

The way I see it, Heavy is a show about people who recognize that they made A LOT of bad life choices and are now making a decision to correct those mistakes on their own. So, what's the big deal with a show of people with legit, serious, health/wait problems and ASKING for someone to help them become healthier? Do we need a dozen shows like this on TV? No, but to act like these people are being rewarded for being super fat is retarded.

Pretty good show. Documentary style like intervention, much better than biggest loser (although I have only watch BL a couple of times). Definately didn't glorify anything. Only thing I wish they showed, was how they actually changed thier diet and what they ate when they were at the facility. Also unlike biggest loser, if they fail in the real world they bring them back before they gain all their weight back. Good stuff.

I thought it was good. It's similar to The Biggest Loser (which I love) but there are no competitions and there are no prizes. It's just two people that need help and are taking the steps to get better. I don't see the problem. If it can inspire one obese person to get healthy then it's served it's purpose.

Is there going to be a follow up with these people later? I thought each episode would follow one or two people from start to finish? They lost alot of weight but both have a long way to go, wondering if we're gonna see those two again?

Not 100% sure, but most of the other A&E shows have an "update" show every once in awhile.
