I love a good story. Im calling BS on this show though. Ive watched enough episodes to wonder how every damn show ends in all great stories. Havent these CEO's ever been paired with a dumbass employee?

This show can't go on for too much longer. I mean, wouldn't you be suspecious now if some stranger came to where you work with a video crew no matter what excuse they're coming up with?

I'm guessing they are paired w/ many employees, and only a few are chosen for the show. Of course, like any reality show, it's not entirely reality.

They had one just a few weeks ago where the employee ended up 'resigning'. Can't remember which one it was though.

Don't remember what the company was but there was one where some fat bitch who worked at the company's call center ended up getting canned/resigning.

Companies find employees to spotlight, no doubt. There's nothing "random" about the choice of location/employee. Heck, figure even the Hooters show with the bad manager was really a chance for Hooters - which some women consider a sexist exploitation or whatever you want to call it - to score some good PR ("oh look, we take this seriously and don't tolerate harasssment etc...").

But I only watched a few shows the first season and quit watching because the show sucks.

The show lost all credibility when they chose Mayor Mark Mallory to do it.

It's no secret that CBS prescreens and interviews people to be on the show. None of the locations and none of the people that the Boss works with are chosen randomly, they are all picked by CBS because they have a good story and will make good television. Now, they don't necessarily know they they are being picked for Undercover Boss, but as others have said, at this point, I think most have got to have a pretty good idea about what is going on. But yes, CBS chooses everyone that the Boss interacts with on the show to make for good televisions. It's not like they just pair him with a bunch of random people hoping to hit on a few good ones and edit out the boring people. That's too difficult and too expensive to shoot the show as if it were a crap shoot.

I wonder how many times a segment gets scrapped because a person this boss is working with knows whats goin on! I know on the radio once they aired some of the calls to people that knew it was a ruse so they couldnt use it for their radio show.
