Give him a chance. Let's see how his policies work before we judge him.

or $12,000,000

Interesting article in the paper once again proving what LJ is full of.
Children’s Hospitals: The governor’s budget proposed eliminating a $6 million allocation to children’s hospitals, which typically serve a high percentage of Medicaid and charity cases. The House plans to add back $4 million over the two-year budget cycle.

I do like this:
Alcohol: The budget proposal includes a provision to allow for liquor sales at Columbus Commons, a new downtown park just south of the Statehouse and another provision to allow breweries to offer free samples to adults on tours. There are about 60 such breweries in the state that would qualify.

What?

one thousand thousand - the number that is represented as a one followed by 6 zeros
12,000 thousand would be a 12 followed by 6 0's.

Kasich claims his staff salary is lower then Strickland's, caught lying again. Analysis shows that Kasich’s actual salary spending is $1,694,874 higher than he claims, and $986,530 more than Strickland. I bet we will not hear about it in the Dispatch.

Laughable analysis.

Governors have moved around payment for positions, by agency and offices, for decades -- mostly to just try and balance the budget. It can have little to do with who reports to who.

When I was in the Health Department, my position was paid half by two different divisions within the Department. It was done because the agency's general fund monies were not enough to pay for the entire public information staff. It was easily justified because literally half of the work I did dealt with issues directly under the control of each of those divisions (the two top issues were nursing homes and diseases, handled by the Division of Quality Assurance and Prevention, respectively).

Despite being paid by those folks, I did not report to the head of either division -- I reported to the director of public affairs.

So you worked at the health department and Social Security? No surprise two of the worst ran government agency's I deal with.

The difference is this Governor is moving around his staff to cover the real cost. It is evident that you are going to blindly ignore any fact presented. Me thinks you may have a vested interest?

Don't know where you got social security from out of my post. That's a federal agency; I worked for the state.

As for your proof -- it isn't.

The Dispatch, which I trust far more than your little bloggie friends, says he's paying them slightly less. I tend to believe them, since they have decades of experience wading through the Department of Administrative Services looking at salaries.

Non-responsive, as usual. As far as that data sheet goes, it's meaningless as presented.

Now here's a convincing argument. I don't know about everyone else but I believe Bigdogg just pulled off an intellectual slam dunk. Brilliant to say the least.

I know the guy who runs that organization -- and he's your typical lawyer shyster when he needs to be.

These ads are missing one thing, though: They need a statement to remind these providers and others who are beholden to Democrats that Gov. Strickland and the (then) Democrat controlled House had a chance to come up with THEIR budget and pass it.

They punted, instead.

Now we're seeing all the whining and crying from organizations like this, and Democrat politicians as well.

Sorry folks...you had your chance and you WUSSED OUT. Choosing to use stimulus money to plug a hole that wasn't going away INSTEAD OF SHOWING ACTUAL LEADERSHIP and fixing the problem in a way you would have preferred over Kasich's plan.

Boo fricking hoo.

Let's see what card plays here....

The race card? Nope.
The Repubs want our kids to starve card? Nope.

Let's see....Oh yeah, let's play the Repubs wanna kill old people card.

The predictability and hypocrisy from the left never fails to amaze me.
