It would have to be the FTs. How many and 1s did OSU have and how many front ends did they miss versus PSU?

PSU was 21 of 28 on 2 pt shots.
That's fucking unreal -- especially for a team that was LAST in shooting in the conference coming into the game.
Between that stat and the big edge in second half rebounds, it pretty much tells you why the game was so close.

The disappointing this about the 21-28 was that those were all good looks as well. OSU broke down defensively. Many of those shots were uncontested. Listening to Matta after the game, he was not happy with the defensive intensity at all. PSU often ran the shot clock down and OSU wasn't able to consistantly keep that intensity going. It happened in spurts. But not like it needs to be.

Good to hear that you enjoyed the game. But for me, 10 times out of 10 I am going to watch a NFL playoff game. There will be 20+ more Buckeye games this season and only 3 more NFL games. Glad to hear the place was sold out and raucous, but that still doesn't change the fact that it was a boneheaded move to schedule right smack dab in the middle of the NFL playoffs.

Stupid Big Ten Network reused to move an Indiana game from four to noon or 6 when Colts Pats played in 2006. NOBODY was at the game. Talk about boneheaded.

Purdue beats Penn State by 1 at Purdue. Ohio Satte 69, Penn State 66 sounds about right.

Who hit the game winner? OH...J. Johnson from Purdue hits the clutch shot, game winner! Ends up with 25pts on the game.

I stand corrected--the guy's a beast...I'm still not sold on him from a defensive standpoint, though, and hope I'm right- especially on Tuesday

Who ever said he wasn't a good player? He is a a good player. However, he isn't the defensive presence of Mbakwe.

That was actually the first page of the Iowa - Ohio State thread, but yeah, vball10set did say he thought Johnson was no better than Mbakwe.

yeah, I did, but I realized afterward that I should have injected the word "defensively" between "better" and "than"--but I didn't...guilty as charged
