Basically? It's hardly basic to his leadership. The Commissioner is not a leader. He is a reactive steward. To suggest this isn't anything more than a response to some squeaky wheels gives the OHSAA too much credit.

The Commissioner's position is irrelevant to the opinions of the voters.

I disagree. This proposal is a compromise. The commissioner doesn't want separate playoffs. If this proposal fails the push for separate playoffs will be enormous. The voters are administrators not coaches. IMHO, if coaches voted this would be a close vote, but the administrators will pass this proposal in spite of the coaches and the private school (minority) lobby.

Highly doubtful, you're in dream land

The last time there was a vote on this, it went down 80-20

Now they're trying a more watered down version to see if they can pass this.

In spite of the loud voices of a few, there is no real push for separate playoffs on either side of this discussion

A compromise or not it is a reactive response to a grassroots effort. That's not indicative of a leadership initiated effort. The voters will ultimately determine this highly polarized outcome. The "minority" as you defined, are often times exactly what rules are in place to protect. The Administrators are not very likely to permit a small number of people making up a decision making body to have full authority to change the weighting of the balance calculations whenever they so choose in my opinion.

I never suggested anything regarding Coaches as opposed to Administrators being the ultimate voters.

You should try and be a little more of a drama queen.

It's ok that you are a drag queen. The truth shall set you free!

So all of the schools that go 0-10 or 1-9 every year are going to create their own association? I can't wait to embrace their tournament games.

Thats what I've been saying all along Al but Viking continues with the dramatics that lack anything but the same redundancy. The small minority of small town publics that are poor in sports will not be able to fund their own association. Embrace that!

You're a king alright, a Vi king....as in Akron North. THAT is enough drama for anybody.

It will pass? So then we should expect Ak. Nofe, to be what, 1-9 next year?

But they'll be in D3, instead of D2...so it's all good!

And Akron Nofe will be just as bad in D3 as they were in D2 but your obsession with Buchtel will remain pitiful.

The state coaches association did a mock vote on the proposal and it failed miserably 97% to 3%. The 3% probably were the coaches from Wayne County. Do you think that the administrators aren't going to listen to their coaches?
