Just out of curiosity...are you using advanced task killer? I used to..took it off and my battery lasts longer...Im using a Droid though, not the Incredible.

You forgot to bold the 8mp camera (with dual LED flash) over the iPhone's 5mp camera (with single LED flash)...and the fact that the Bionic can support up to 48gb of memory instead of 32gb for the biggest iPhone.

This...but I might add working in IT I have mine plugged in a lot. Also have another charger in the car incase I'm driving any distances so I don't notice the battery life as much.

When I upgrade it will be to another Droid phone.

With the Bionic...you can.

Try checking your email while on a call on the iPhone 4 on Verizon...you can't.

Check for new email while on a call? I have never wanted to do that. It is neither a pro or a con for me.

I had it, but did the same as you. The battery still isnt very good...I have another battery on order though..it is a 1800 instead of the stock 1300. It is getting good reviews on one of the geek sites...www.htcexpress.com

How long can you go on a charge? I can go a day and a half with my stock incredible battery.

Of course a lot has to do with my phone running cyanogenmod with a couple tweaks.

yeah, i botched a root, so I am running stock 2.2.

I do the bump charge and can still barely make it through a work day...and I am not a heavy user at work...not at all.

I actually have to check my email and the web all the time while on calls (because of my referee association duties) so AT&T serves me just fine.

just tried going on vzw's website to look around and its fucked. I'd say there is some increased traffic today. I've been eligible for an upgrade for a month and was holding out to see what version of the iphone would be released. What's the best Android phone out for verizon now? Droid X?

Right now...Droid X or Incredible.

But hold off on your upgrade for a bit and wait to see what the dates/prices are going to be for the 4g phones.

Yeah I know, I'm just getting the itch to drop Blackberry, its getting new. Any clue when the 4g phones are expected to be out?

It was a network limitation. Had your almighty iPhone launched on Verizon first instead of AT&T, you would not have been able to do it. Once LTE devices roll out, that argument is gone. So the iPhone will actually have to go on specs...and it doesn't measure up to the other phones very well.

Sherm03, Is there any plans at any point in time to have a stock android device from Moto? I like a lot of the Motorola hardware but I can't get by their "add-on" software (blur). Something along the lines of the original Droid. I have a feeling the XOOM will be a stock reference device for Google and that is one reason why I will think about purchasing it.

All phones that have been shipped to Verizon (with the exception of the Devour) do not have MotoBlur. They do have some preloaded Motorola widgets which cannot be removed from the phone with rooting it. However, they can all be deleted from the screen and they do not take up much memory in the phone. So all-in-all, I feel like the preloaded Moto widgets aren't a big deal. All of the AT&T and TMO phones have Blur, and probably will continue to have it.

From what I've heard, MotoBlur isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

I guess that I really like a stock Android phone. The AOSP ROM I am running on my HTC Incredible, I feel, is much better than HTC and their roms. Plus the fact I don't have to wait months for a decent upgrade from the manufacturer. As of right now I am running Android version 2.3.1 with only a couple minor things that needs to be sorted out. I just wish a manufacturer would take a pure Android experience and create great hardware for the OS. I know about the NEXUS lineup but T-Mobile just doesn't cut it where I live. Plus, I rather not have Samsung hardware.

The only thing I want to know is will this allow me switch my iPad to Verizon so I can have their coverage up at my cottage? AT&T sucks balls up there and Verizon is perfect. It doesnt matter in town cause I connect to wireless, but at my cottage I need the 3G coverage...

If your iPad is ATT then no. ATT's network is GSM and Verizon's is CDMA. This is the reason why you can't talk on the phone and check your mail on Verizon's network, because of technological limitations via CDMA.

Jargon aside, it's hilarious to me that people complain and cite the "no-data-while-on-a-phone-call" argument when differentiating between AT&T/Verizon. Like it really matters THAT much.

No...your current iPad will not be able to be switched to Verizon's coverage. It's possible that Apple will release a next gen iPad and put LTE capabilities on it. But any iPad out there will not work on Verizon's network.
