Those do look cool.

UM needs new uniforms. Their new ones look terrible with that thin stripe down the side.

As much as I hate to say it, Missouri's were ok. The only thing I'd change is the helmet. I hate that you can't see the "M" on the helmet. They should have tried to mix some yellow or white in there to give it contrast. The rest is sold. Especially the pants.

For the mizzou helmet, maybe a yellow outline of the M would've worked....I think that would look pretty sweet.

The whole point is to showcase the material of the uni. It's hard to get everyone excited about new fabric, so Nike did the whole Riflery experiment this past season.

I have never really seen the flat black paint, sorry... but I am in agreement with the post a few above. If Mizzou would have outlined that M in yellow... I think it would have looked better. The uniforms were pretty sharp.

I think Nike should use another slogan. I just feel like 'Combat' is in poor taste. JMO

That you think it is in poor taste.

Yeah because football players really go to 'combat' against each other. While we are in two wars, I don't think its very appropriate to use that term.

for the record I liked LSU's pro-combat unis. and would welcome another shot at the OSU uni. If they don't get it right the 2nd time I'd quit trying.

The overall uniform design isn't changing, just the material and construction. Nike had teams wear alternate uni's last year (like OSU in the Michigan game) to debut the new style, but this year the new type of uniform will be the normal uni's and will look the same as normal. It's just that these uni's are more form fitting for skill players, made of a much lighter material, designed to draw sweat away from the body, and designed to be more durable. Honestly I think that these new uniforms will give an advantage over teams not wearing them because they are lighter which will allow the athletes to move quicker. Sure, the advantage may not be huge, but every little bit counts.

It's a way for Nike to sell more jersey's.

Yeah like there are no other military analogies in football...

Or pkebker is actually in the service and considers it a joke? I too am not a big fan of the usage of military analogies in sports and football as a whole, and I coach football. I don't think it's that big of a deal though, if it was the Nike Normandy collection I'd scratch my head. :D

Here's the links to all the other teams that used the unis as well.

Yikes. I disagree here. Those things are ugly. If I was a FSU fan I'd be ticked about those things. FSU has such classy uniforms and they toss them aside for those things? What is Florida State's obsession with black anyways?

Ohio States are AWFUL in that link.

The day that OSU comes out in white helmets is the day I lose faith in humanity.
