If Floyd is a buckeye, he'll definitely be in the rotation next year, and you'd hope that's a big thing for him.

These guys would surely boost OSU's ranking, especially if OSU somehow landed Hicks.

Henderson #1 Rivals player, #1 OL, #1 player in state
Floyd #8 Rivals player DT, #1 DT, #1 player in state
Joyner #14 Rivals player DB, #1 DB, #2 player in state
Hicks #12 Rivals player, #1 LB, #1 in state.

Yes, I expect OSU to close out very well. Something the staff traditionally hasn't been able to do very well. I'd love to get Hicks, but if we can't, we'll get another guy in there that'll help to make a top 10 defense.

OSU hasn't closed well because they have always landed their big guys early, outside of TP who was basically an OSU lock but just dragged out the process.

Then you consider Hankins, Bryant, Anderson, and James too. These guys combined with the other 4 are the top guys for OSU to land.

Anderson #18 Rivals, #2 ATH, #2 in state
James #58 Rivals, #7 OL, #4 in state
Hankins 3 Star DT
Bryant 4 Star DB

We'll have a great class. But hopefully we don't have room for all those guys. I'd love for Gibson and Heyward to be back.

Hopefully Washington transfers so OSU gets another scholly back.

OSU has 13 commits right now, how many scholarships do they have left?

I'm not so sure, and I'm too lazy to check. I hope TWash stays. I know he hasn't done anything and he's an upperclassman, but we need experienced depth. We have Posey, Sanz, Carter, then Flash-- I don't feel comfortable having Fields, Jackson, Schwartz as our 5th WR. Flash is a bit iffy. If our WR's have injury problems, we could be in trouble next year.

Yeah I meant the only Hicks would go to Texas.... my bad.

I think we get those three mentioned and then Bryant and Anderson. James will go to Notre Dame, especially if Kelly ends up there. Hicks is a special linebacker, but we are stacked (so is Texas) at linebacker. It will be interesting to see how that comes out. There is a bucknuts "insider" who claims to be on the team that has been saying Hicks is an OSU lock for a while. So who knows. I think we will probably add 5 or 6 more although I think we only have 4 schollys left if there is no attrition.

I've heard from people at Lakota West HS, that Hicks is a lock for OSU. . . I'm still waiting for signing day to get excited though.

4 left if you count Hyde as a commit and washington is gone. add in a couple more tranfers/early entrants and OSU could take over 20 guys.

Washington is not yet gone. Why do people keep saying this? It is a rumor, and probably more true than not, but it has yet to be official.

Ohio State just offered QB/S Verlon Reed. So they must feel they are getting several extra scholarships or are going to miss on some of the current targets.

^ Curious offer... maybe there is more than just gibson leaving for the NFL. Sounds like he is a QB/Ath offer, will be there to add depth to a lacking QB squad.

I heard a rumor today that Jeff Luc is committing to FSU. . . Does this have any effect on Joyner?

Doubt it... Luc has been 100% Seminole from day one... although he grew up an FSU kid and so did Joyner.

Once again hearing rumors that Washington is looking to transfer along with Lamaar Thomas. If anyone is a subscriber to Bucknuts, they have a prem. artcile about the topic on yesterday.

I wouldn't be heartbroken about losing either Washington or Thomas. It would hurt the depth, but we have players coming in who could replace them.

I guess Thomas has been upset with his role offensively all year. He has the talent but it just doesn't fit the offensive scheme OSU is using at the moment.

Both guys are good for depth but I don't see them ever being able to crack into the starting lineup. Washington had his chance but blew it and Carter took over.

Thomas is a kick returner but really hasn't done much all year.

Plus, OSU is bringing in virtual clone of Thomas with James Louis who is 5'11 180 4.43 40 time.

My thoughts exactly. I've yet to see that Blazing speed Thomas had. And hell they are the 5th and 6th WR currently. We'll only lose small, so they'd move up to 4th and 5th. Some of the guys coming in will jump them just like Carter did, so really no big loss in terms of production.

I don't think any of those guys would jump them. The guys coming in are not the traditional type of WR's that see early playing time at OSU.

They may not jump them, but if Tressel had to use Louis or another FR WR they would probably produce as much as Thomas or Washington.

Wow. Kinda surprised by that. Wasn't expecting an announcement this soon.
