if they get shazier, and gorman or grant this class is a success. you have to get 1 of those stud DB's.

I think we get

D. Grant
C. Grant (my wildcard)
Jennings
Shazier

Fin.

I hope we can get Gorman but I think his family is putting too much pressure on him to stay in Florida. But I think we could still get him and not C Grant although I am not sure what OSU would do if they both wanted to commit because we only have 4 spots left.

If JT can close with those four...wow! One would be hard pressed to find a better defensive class.

That really does suck about Carter. He was a very talented athlete. I understand OSU's decision though, they set forth academic standards and I have a lot of respect for OSU for standing by them.

seems to me that the kid deserves a second chance if he's got everything back in order. i knew a lot of people who went to columbus state for a semester or 2 to get shit straightened back out and OSU had no problem letting them back in.

I'm not going to miss Carter at all. If you can't make it through your first semester/quarter in college, then I don't have any sympathy for you.

D. Grant will be a Spartan. Probably because of his dad.

What's your source? Being discussed on Scout but nothing concrete......

BIll Green and Nevada both think osu and Nevada(osu insider) says "Grant ==== BUCKEYE"

Grant is a hell of a player. He had a little bit of interest in UC early on. I believe he took an unofficial visit. Hopefully he chooses OSU over Michigan State. I'd prefer to keep the talent in state than see it waste away up north.

I'm sure its just a guess. Most Buckeye insiders are saying he will be a Buckeye.

Ja'Juan Story WR soft verbal to florida will visit OSU in Janurary. Also C. Grant was blown away by his OSU visit. D. Grant will be a buckeye spartans come close but I think this one has been over for awhile, if nevadabuck calls it its over.

If Story some how comes to OSU, that will be huge! A big fast kid who could definitely play right away.

This is an interesting question due to the punishment handed down. The number is 3 with Shazier's commitment + juniors leaving. I was on that was thinking we would only lose 0-2 juniors, now we may lose 3 or 4. There may be other scholarships that open up to. I think Tressel goes for 3 to 4 more. D Grant, OL , WR, and another DB/S. He will probably bank the rest for 2012 because there is massive talent in that class and limited (like 16) scholarships for that class already.

JuCo DB Byron Moore just eliminated OSU today.

There appears to be 9 guys that the coaches are still pushing heavily for:

WR Ja'Juan Story
OL Aundrey Walker
DE Jadeveon Clowney
LB Curtis Grant
LB Ejuan Price
DB Jabari Gorman
DB Doran Grant
ATH Darius Jennings
LS Bryce Haynes

I am sure they have backup offers at OL and DB. Those are the 2 positions were it appears we need 1 or 2 more. They are also keeping tabs on a couple of punters.

I think you can take Clowney off that list. They are persuing but there is 0% chance there. You need to add the OL from Chicago Chris Bryant to that list. He will visit in Janurary. Other than that you are correct. D Grant and Gorman plan to announce at the UA game.

I agree with your point about Clowney that we have no shot.

I left Clowney on and Bryant off because Clowney has an offer and Bryant doesn't.

As far as I know, Bryant is the backup plan if Walker goes elsewhere.

I have read that opposite... Bryant I think has an offer if he comes for the visit. I am not sure if Walker does anymore or not because of grades. I would take Bryant, I question Walkers work ethic.

I do not know much about Bryant but I agree with your views on Walker. However, he seems like too much of a talent to pass up. If he doesn't play, it will be his own fault.
