on Kalis
"I did speak to Luke Fickell minutes ago, and I told him I was de-committing from Ohio State," Kalis announced. "I want to keep all my options open, and will consider several programs going forward, including Ohio State. That's really all I want to say about my recruitment at this time."

Bill Greene :: Ohio Recruiting Analyst
I don't fall for too many of the recruiting article statements, but I spoke to Brionte and his dad for a long time Monday night............

I think it's going to take a major whacking from the NCAA to lose Brionte Dunn. Both Brionte and his dad said the same thing and I believe them both.

Kalis is gone. Not coming back.

I don't think it's fair to lump Brionte in that group.

Brionte has never gone against anything he has said publicly or privately. He told OSU he wanted to take visits to be sure and he has taken one. He has stayed close to Bollman throughout this process. He has never called OSU to decommit. He has never publicly stated he was thinking of decommitting.

Assuming OSU does not get killed by the NCAA, Brionte will be a Buckeye.

Our OLine recruiting is pathetic we need to step up the offers ASAP and get what's left in Ohio, if anything.

I still do not understand the fact that Nick Davidson has not been offered. Not sure what OSU is waiting on.

This weekend's camp is likely to involve the staff issuing some offers. Will be interesting to see what develops.

Adam Pankey is another OL to watch. I'd assume he is on the short list to offer.

The bank is saying 2013 RB stud Derrik Green from VA will probably get an offer and accept this weekend. He is Curtis Grants buddy I guess. Good recruiting news. Who knew? I hope we off Davidson double ASAP. I also would like to see a kid like Mason Monhiem get an offer and accept on the spot.

Ohio State swung for the fences out of the gate with -line recruiting this year. Obviously that's failed miserably and the price to be paid is steep because the usual fallback on ohio kid's wont be there. This is the list of ohio linemen who have committed to other school's that im aware of.

Taylor Decker- Notre Dame 4*
Kyle Dodson- Wisconsin 4*
Caleb Stacey- Michigan 3*
Tyley Orlosky- West Virginia 3*
Zach Higgins- Michigan State 3*
Bennie Mcgowan- Michigan State 3*
Anthony Stanko- Penn State 3*
Kenton Playko- Northwestern 3*

I think OSU got caught with their pants down. Evidence of that can be found with Zach Higgin's who recieved a call from Bollman after commiting to Sparty at their spring game. Bollman wanted to know why he committed to sparty instead of waiting and camping at OSU to maybe earn an OSU offer.

Yeah bollman is a fail with his recruiting and pretty much everything else. One reason to hope for Urban. Time will tell.

OSU offered 2013 ATH Jalin Marshall today. He ran a 4.42 at camp. Will be one of the top players in Ohio in 2013. Supposed to be an OSU lean.

2013 RB. He's Curtis Grant's buddy. Would love to see OSU offer him as well. He ran a 4.43 after weighing in at 217 lbs today. That is impressive. Makes the prospect of losing Brionte Dunn more bearable.

OSU or UM shouldn't give up on Pittman. He made some odd comments today. Sounds like his recruitment isn't over despite his "commitment" to MSU.

Ohio State's recruitment is going to be odd this year. I think we will land some decent names but if Urban gets hired and still has a month or so left watch out. Bill Green also tweeted this today

From Bill Greene's Twitter:
Brionte Dunn talking to Derrick Green's parents. Brionte seems all in for OSU. Sounds promising!

So don't give up on him just yet

Good news on Brionte. He will stay unless OSU gets hammered by NCAA. Green was the MVP of camp yesterday, he said he was there to earn an offer and his favorite RB is Eddie George. He wants to bring 27 back out of retirement.

Here was the main quote. He also just seemed like he was pressured into committing to MSU for some reason. I think he is either waiting to see what OSU's sanctions are, or to see how Michigan's recruiting would affect him.
"I do want say I'm finished but then I don't because anything can happen," Pittman said. "I want to be at Michigan State and I want to be a Spartan but the process isn't over and things might change between now and the time for me to sign."

OSU gets a huge commit from DB Devan Bogard of Glenville. A 4 star recruit with some size for the defensive backfield.

Lol at people questioning Fickell's recruiting skills. He has been widely known as one of the best recruiters in the nation!

He will be great on the defensive side of the ball no doubt, but it is the offensive side especially OL where Bollman is stingy with with scholarships that is the question.
