73-68 OSU. Wasn't pretty at all. OSU lacked energy. Had a spurt in second half to take the lead then had to hang on. Better get their heads on straight with Minny coming to town this weekend.

Probably the only reason it won't be by 35+ is because it's in Iowa City.

I still stand by the second part....lol

;) Look like a terrible atmosphere in Iowa. A LOT of empty seats. Looked like only a few thousand on hand.

I was hoping for a tough game against Iowa (honestly) because I think this team needed to be tested on the road in a close game.

I got my wish and they passed with flying colors.

I flipped over for about 3 minutes of game time after the football game went to halftime, saw OSU go on a 12-0 run capped by the back to back Diebler 3s, and turned the channel back. Iowa is horrible, and based on those 3 minutes and every other time I've seen them this year I have no idea how the game was as close as it was.

That said, Minnesota has absolutely no shot of winning in Columbus.

This is a 'bad' win if there is such a thing. Granted they did win. Oh well.

Unless of course the OSU team from tonight shows up? Kinda amazing to say that after such a lackluster performance.

Yeah it's one of those "a win is a win" games.

All you do is try to hate on OSU.. They could beat Duke by 20 and you'd say duke was overrated!

At what point did I hate on OSU? If you look ahead in the thread even OSU fans said it should be 20+ points. They won by 5. They are clearly the better team and they underachieved and were not focused for the game tonight. They have literally played no one up to this point this season is what I keep saying. Not that they aren't good.

Iowa is the worst team in the Big Ten, but they aren't a bad team. They are young and inconsistent, but they've been in close games with Xavier, Wake Forest, Iowa State, and Illinois. They were at home, have the #2 team in the country coming into their building, and the Buckeyes knew they were better and weren't into it mentally. Any road win in Big Ten play is a good win.

You don't have to explain it to me. They are allowed to have bad games when you play 30 in a season. They won. I'm just saying that this year's Iowa team is so atrocious that a 20+ beatdown should have occurred.

OR you guys can keep telling me how good they are and then I can remind you all that Xavier has their largest defeat so far this season. Either or works for me:) Haven't and won't be able to brag for awhile.

Wake is the worst team in the ACC. And Xavier was up 22 on them with 10 minutes left and won by 13. That was not a close game. Iowa also lost to Long Beach State and South Dakota State. They are a bad, bad team.

I would say there's practically no chance of them going winless in conference though. They'll come up with a couple of Ws at home.

No one has beaten Iowa by 20+ this season, at home or on the road.

Bad games happen over a course of a long season.

To expect to blow out everybody you play is expecting too much.

Sometimes, a game like this is needed. Like I said, I was hoping for a close game. These kind of games serve purpose.

You can't overlook the fact that their minds were on the Sugar Bowl, either :)
