Can you imagine the last 72 hours for this guy??? He was absolutely not prepared for this. If a celebrity wins an Oscar, then the celebrity knows if they win they will make the media circuit for the next couple of weeks. This guy Ted Williams, my god....I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

LOL the mom has been through this before it seems.

Hmmm, I hope he keeps his shit together. This could be a great thing for him, but I won't be shocked (and it sounds like his mom won't be either) if it all falls apart.

Maybe he was just nervous. But to my well trained I'm fuckered up eye, he looked a little more than a natural high.

i think the years of drug abuse is the cause of him twitching and seeming nervous/giddy - coupled with the fact that what hes been through this past 3 days is insane, I dont blame him. He wasn't high, and I hope he never is again

He seemed perfectly normal in the video. I was expecting much more from the posts here. The guy's excited and has no experience with media interviews, give him a break.

Shame on the Today show for not researching how this would go with his mom. It is all well deserved on his part, coming from his mother, but for all of this crap to come out on live TV looks distasteful.

Yea, he's had the same manuerism in every interview I've seen. I don't think he was "high" at all.

As mentioned, what he has gone through in the past three days is unreal. I don't know how any of us 'peons' would react to the whirlwind tour of interviews, cameramen, reporters, etc just a few days after living in a makeshift tent.

I think he's doing pretty good and it is obvious that 20 years of hard drugs will affect a person. The thing is, he's not pretending not to be somebody he's not. It's the media that keeps harping about his sordid past as if he was trying to pretend he didn't take drugs, etc. A homeless drug addict is going to get into trouble. Sorry. It's just going to happen. Anybody who saw this story from the get-go figured those 'other things' he mentioned in the first video obviously had to be some sort of criminal mischief. Do I blame the guy? For taking drugs, yes. But do I blame him for getting clean and trying to crawl out of the abyss after his past, hell no.

Somewhere it was said he was set-up with a pyschologist....A lot is happening for him and he said he feels a need to medicate, but as a recovering addict that's not an option. It seemed like the shrink helped him, and give him credit for recognizing the issue. I hope he makes the most of this. Somewhere it said he's been sober for 2 yrs. That really is pretty remarkable if you consider the guy is living on the street.

A friend of mine, who lives in the area of Hudson and 71, told me today he was seen doing crack two weeks ago so I don't know. Wonder, if any of these people trying to cash in on him, has thought about making him submit to a drug test?

Your friend spend a lot of time hanging out in crack houses, does he?
