I had a box sitting outside of my office this morning that I had no idea what it could be since I hadn't ordered anything recently. So I look at the packing slip and see the purchase order and look it up and it's a shelf that goes inside an enclosure that I ordered 5 years ago from Emcore.

Well to be fair to Emcore, it's only been 4 years and 8 months.

So if you have an electrical enclosure that needs spec'd, give yourself a 5 year lead time.

Yeah but they are contracted out through another company so it doesn't get done as well as it used to when we had inside purchasing agents.

Essentially you're your own purchasing agent now and I don't have time to keep track of what all I get and what I don't since our contracted agents don't do a very good job.

In this instance I just had our Sheetmetal dept. make me a shelf and said fuck it.

Would this qualify as short term memory loss or long term memory loss?
