I've made three trips to Tuttle Crossing Mall over the last month - and simply can't believe how aggressive some of the kiosk attendants have become. It's to the point where I won't go there unless I absolutely have no choice.

The place from which we rented the tuxes for Darby Diva's wedding last month has two outlets in the mall - and of course, after going to Location A (as instructed), I had to pick mine up from the "other location" at the opposite end of the mall. My wife and I were accosted at least four times on the trip down - and on the trip back, one of the same attendants who hit us up on the trip down tried his shtick again. This time, he took hold of my wife's arm after the second "no" ( I was about ten paces behind) and started to tell her she could really benefit from the product (some sort of makeup). I quickly caught up, tapped him on the shoulder, and told him to let go of my wife or I'd shove the sample bottle up his ass. He quickly complied (I'm 6'4" and, ahhhhhhh, "big-boned").

Do the mall managements realize that these places are driving away business?? Anyone else have the same problem?

Most of the time when those people approach me I just stare at them. But one time I was there with a girl I dated from high school and he wouldn't leave us alone, eventually I told him to fuck off. I was about 6-7 inches taller than this guy. He got quiet real fast. This is why I prefer going to Easton to shop.

They're basically all foreign, at least in my experiences. A lot of Euros and Indians.

Basically the same story as the OP. One Indian dude wouldn't leave my girlfriend alone. He ran out in front of us and stopped us. We told him we weren't interested, for the 3rd time, and just walked away. And then he ran up from behind her and grabbed her arm. That's when I finally told him to lay the fuck off before I beat him into a pile of curry.

There's a lot of Asians as well at the kiosks. Mainly Euro's though.

Yep definitely some Asians as well. My girlfriend is Asian and after that incident I had, I couldn't resist kidding around with her that they were probably recruiting her as new talent for the mall kiosk circuit.

Lots of crazy Russians working those kiosks at Polaris, or at least there were 6 months ago.

CFF, Tuttle Crossing literally became a war zone about a week ago, when that couple was carjacked in the parking lot and the wife shot and killed when they tried to escape.

Even more reasons to hate, and avoid malls. I live less than two miles from Polaris Mall and I think I have been inside of it 3 times. Once when I had to return a gift to the PGA Store and twice when my son's middle school jazz band played Christmas concerts there.

Have not had the pleasure of being at the Tuttle Crossing mall, but I have been to Polaris twice in the last 2 weeks and the food court was like a war zone with people everywhere and having to get everywhere in a hurry.

I've not been to the mall with my wife, only when I was shopping for her. I didn't have any problems. Does this only happen to women? (or people who are with women?)

They're mostly peddling skin care/beauty products. That's why they stop every woman

It is very annoying. At the mall I frequent most I just tell them no and they leave me alone...but I just hate being approached like that.

I still have questions about that incident at Tuttle, PB. They accosted them out on the street leading out to Hayden Run Road, well outside the mall parking lot. There is something that situation just doesn't sound right - I'm thinking that they were after him or her in particular, for reasons unknown.

Yeah, when I read the story in the Dispatch something didn't seem right to me either. The hi-jackers had them stop the car out on a rural road, the hi-jackers got out of the car, the husband took off and they shot his wife. Why would the hi-jackers get out of the car while the couple was still in it? Seems like there is more to the story.

1) They're all gone! As of today, not one of those kiosks is being manned, and a lot have been taken down.
2) They're mostly Israeli. If you know how to swear in Hebrew, you're good. If not, just bust out an angry "kus emek" (pronounced "koos EM-ek") and keep walking.
3) I understand that a lot of them got kicked out of Tuttle last year for an unbelievably high number of customer complaints, which lasted from something like January 1 to September 1.
4) If you're on the phone, they leave you alone. If you keep walking, they ignore you as well.

I'm surprised nobody saw this in the middle of broad daylight the day after christmas... that's a fairly high traffic area

The problem you're running into is going to Tuttle period. Even when I am back at my parent's in Hillard right off Hayden run (approx 1.5 miles south from Tuttle), I will make the 20-25 minute trip on 670 to go to Easton.

Damit I was going to go there next weekend just so I could pick a fight.
