WR
DE
LB
DE
CB
OL

The hard part is figureing out what/who they think they can get in FA to fill those needs too.

If free agency opens on Monday with the 400+ vs 200+ players on the market, all Hell will break loose....

I would love for Young to fall to us in the late 2nd.

I wasn't thrilled w/ the pick of Taylor, only because I thought Wilkerson was the better player at that position.

Taylor is 334 lbs and plays like he's 270. Dude had 4 INT's, I believe, in his career from the DT position. Very athletic. I have NO issue with this pick. With him and Rubin manning the interior, it won't be easy running it up the gut with almost 700 lbs of beef there to stop it. Just need that "thumper' MLB.

Is Matez Wilson that thumper MLB? Not sure if we could pass up a DE in our next pick. Mel Kiper released a second round mock and has Wilson going to the Bills. He also has us taking Titus Young at 37 and Justin Houstin at 59.

I always thought McElroy would be a serviceable NFL backup.

Here are the top prospects for round 2...

DE Da'Quan Bowers
QB Ryan Mallett
LB Akeem Ayers
LB Brooks Reed
DT Stephen Paea
DE Justin Houston
WR Torrey Smith
CB Aaron Williams
CB Brandon Harris
RB Mikel Leshoure
S Rahim Moore
TE Kyle Rudolph
C Rodney Huston
DE Allen Bailey
LB Bruce Carter
DT Drake Nevis
QB Andy Dalton
T Benjamin Ijalana
DE Sam Acho
CB Ras-I Downling
WR Randall Cobb
WR Leonard Hankerson
DE Christian Ballard
DT Marvin Austin
WR Titus Young
CB Curtis Brown

I'm literally pissing my pants over the prospects of landing two of these guys. I really like Brooks Reed too. Has that Clay Matthews/Browns type player look to him.

Sounds like the Jets wanted Taylor pretty bad so Heckert moved up to get him...

He had just 1 INT, 0 forced fumbles, and 5 career sacks. I guess we will see how it works out. I just hope conditioning and effort aren't problems like some claim they will be.

I was a little shocked when the Browns moved up to 21 and took Taylor. I was thinking Cameron Jordan or Bowers. But he does fill a need. And with FA opening up, we may do well there too. With 2 picks in the 2nd they could still address DE, WR, or LB. Or they may be able to move up and get Bowers. That would be huge IMO.i

Exactly. I love the pick. Look how far Quinn and Bowers have fallen. Clearly neither of them were worth the 6th pick so instead of taking what I personally consider a less important need (WR) we get MAXIMUM value. Awesome.

Man Martez Wilson is a freaking stud IMO. Had one of the strangest unfortunate series of events I've seen recently but had an AWESOME year last year 111 tackles 4 sacks 1 INT. I would love to get him somehow.

I would love to land Wilson or Reed at LB.

And don't forget about Carlton Mitchell. He may be why they didn't stay at 6 and pick Jones. The guy has potential. (size and speed)

Just watched the presser on the CB homesite. I'm a believer, and I love taking trench guys. I like the pick.

I'd be perfectly happy with more D-Line picks along with that RT need. Heckert keeps talking of the "confidence" in Pashos but I'm not buying it. Dude has durability issues.

I like the pick as well, but mainly because of the fleecing they gave atlanta. I would love to get bowers now.

I'm hearing reports that Nick Fairley tanked his interview in Cleveland so they wouldn't pick him.
