Cleveland listeners were foaming at the mouth for competition. KNR had a monopoly on the market being the only game in town. Bring in a new station that comes off with some cred and they (WKNR) will lose even more listeners.

Dustin Fox & the Bull in the afternoon are really good. They don't talk shit, just sports. I like Miley on the early morning drive but Booms, who I've worked with in the past, is starting to come across as a gossipy, whiny Cleveland "fan" instead of a credible sports talk guy. Booms kinda came across as a sarcastic bitch when I worked with him. Looks like time has changed nothing.

LOL...I think Modell found the OBR. There's a poster who has started about 6 threads under the name "brownsfansareskumbags" trolling the boards bragging about his "fine wife" (probably has to sheer her weekly) who will be sporting her "Hines Ward Super Bowl jersey" at their local "Boston" Steelers bar.

Has anyone ever had a faster rise to fame and more precipitous fall than Hillis? He went from after thought in Quinn trade, to break out season, to Madden Cover, to having trouble getting on the field and unable to get a new deal all in the span of like 18 months.

I didn't know the browns were playing tonight.....watching this Monday night game is making me feel a little better about the browns...that we aren't the only team who looks horrible.

Games like that give me hope that the Browns can steal a victory against Baltimore, Pittsburgh or both. Both teams have had their head scratchers this year.

"They have much in common. McCoy’s body is supposed to be too small. Frye’s college, Akron, was “too small.”

WTF? Horrible correlation, they are most opposite in body size, cerebral decision making, college competition, accuracy and arm strength.

Wow. To think he got paid for writing that drivel. What a great country we live in, eh?

I know, seriously. When did professional sports writing turn into WWE? Instead on commenting on the games and breaking down players it seems most writers are trying to write a soap opera. Its pathetic.

I think the thing that overall hurts Baltimore in the "contender/pretender" mix is that they just seem to have a couple games every year where they inexplicably suck on offense against teams they should beat. Which tends to put them into the playoffs as a lower seed than they should be. If they don't wind up with a first-round bye this year, laying eggs against mediocre-to-bad teams like Tennessee and Jacksonville will be the reason why.

He's ready to give the award to Newton because he's a QB. I don't see how you can judge all these positions against one another fairly. Too many varied responsibilities and definitions of what it takes to be outstanding.

That explains this, from Yahoo Sports' Michael Silver's weekly power rankings. I was going to post it anyway just for you, BR, since you're such a huge "FRYEs with your meal" (that is what he's doing now, isn't it?) man.
24. Cleveland Browns: When you’re being credibly compared toCharlie Frye(notes), is it a sign that your career trajectory is fluttering like a Colt McCoy pass against the Seahawks?

Only one hack journalist would say another hack journalist's evaluation of an NFL QB is credible. Anyone with half a brain would laugh at the notion.

http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/47258/luckwatch-bradford-trade-considerations
Under this scenario, the Rams could trade Bradford outside the division and even outside the conference. Cleveland would rank atop my list of destinations. Browns executive Mike Holmgren values quarterbacks, and he has additional picks from the draft-day trade with Atlanta. Browns coach Pat Shurmur was Bradford's coordinator in 2010, so Bradford could make a smooth transition to an offense he knows well.
Thoughts?

No thanks on Bradford, we don't need another QB that can't play in cold/inclement weather.
