I believe I offered my condolences, but added in my opinion having to do with the subject. It couldve been ignored, however im not getting bashed for my opinion that I voiced.

Do you wish everyone who has a different opinion than you to die in a fire?

This ladies and gentlemen is what we call a copout. The subject will not back up what he says but will continue to insist that its over everyones head but his own.

lol like I said. I was mocking your logic and posting style. If anyone disagrees with you, or thinks your behavior is out of line, you just retort by saying we are immature and need to grow up (not just in this thread, but any thread as evidence was provided)... If you went to a funeral and gave your condolences to the family, but then stated you don't support the guy's profession, do you think people will attack you for your opinion or the venue/time you chose to state your opinion????

Well...I only ready about half the extraneous posts from this thread and I'm already to bash my head on the wall, so I'm going to just go ahead and quit reading.



I went to pay my respects at the evening visitation on Thursday. We arrived about 7 to a parking lot absolutely filled with vehicles (and both the parking lot and church were ENORMOUS!) and waiting around an hour to get through. It was amazing to see just how many people took the time to honor a fallen officer. I saw a number of Chicago PD and FD uniforms along with so many other departments I couldn't possibly remember them all. I did hear that some officers traveled from as far as California, which is just awesome. It might have been the added emotional toll of being 7 months pregnant and as big as a house, but it was tough to see that and not think about all the things that could happen each time baby daddy or I go to work.


I also saw quite a few lines of vehicles headed to Springfield on Friday morning, the largest of which I counted around 45 cars. I thought that was pretty cool, too.
