bigger goals certainly

but this was a tough division race

it took a 12-4 record and they had to deal with the suspension to Ben early on

great regular season

let's get #7

It's playoff time! Two teams from the AFC North once again.

So who do we think makes the trip to Heinz Field in 2 weeks? Indy, KC or B-more?

Ravens. Do the Ravens play Kansas City or Indy?

Pittsburgh did what they had to do today. Great to have them back in the postseason after a year off. Going to be a rough road in the AFC, so finishing ahead of Baltimore to get the first round bye was great.

Up in the air. KC lost today, so if Indy wins their game, they move into the #3 seed. If Indy loses, KC is the #3 and Indy (or Jacksonville if they win while Indy loses) is the #4. At least that's what I think...I do confess I'm not 100 percent on that.

If I was a Ravens fan, I'd only be worried about the Colts just because of Manning. KC and Jacksonville...something tells me they'd be early eliminations this year, as I think NE, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and the Jets are a step ahead of anyone else (with the fucking Pats probably being a step ahead of the other three right now).

for some reason I think it will be Baltimore

but Indy is probably going to be No. 3 so if they beat the Jets they'll go to Pittsburgh

If Indy wins

then it will be:

(6) Jets at (3) Colts
(5) Ravens at (4) Chiefs

Colts must go to Pittsburgh if they win

that scares me because our pass defense can be shaky

Baltimore is a great team but in terms of styles the Steelers and Ravens are basically mirror images

Pray for bitter cold and snow if it's Indy.

just a guess but I think the Steelers will play on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 4:30 p.m.

the first divisional playoff game

the Saturday night game has alternated each year between a CBS game and a Fox game and last year CBS had it with Baltimore at Indianapolis, so Fox probably has the Saturday primetime game

then of the two AFC games which is more likely to be on Sunday and I think definitely New England as the No. 1 seed

Colts are tied 20-20 late in the 4th

they're going to win the division because the Jags are going down

but they'll remain the No. 4 seed if they lose and play Baltimore

I really don't care who the Steelers play, history is on their side when it comes to playing a divisional playoff game at home after a bye.

The division title is the Steelers 20th since the NFL merger in 1970, the most in the league.

Here is the complete playoff schedule for the next 2 weeks...

http://blogs.nfl.com/2011/01/02/wild-card-and-divisional-playoff-schedule/?module=breaking_news

Next week it's Jets @ Indy Saturday at 8:00
Ravens @ KC Sunday at 1:00

Oh look! I see NO Browns fans on here making snide remarks. As a "logical" Browns fan, I say congrats...once again (especially to you North Central Ohio fans ;-) ). One day I hope to be able to start a thread like this! Since most of you posting on here are good guys in my book, BRF wishes your team good luck in the play-offs. (Ouch, that kinda hurt)

lol the road to the AFC North division Championship definately runs through Pittsburgh....no doubt about that! I just can't wait til the Browns can get out of "rebuilding mode" and actually be in the hunt for the division....who knows how long that will take, especially now that Mangini may get fired and we will have to start completely over.........Again.

Congrats Steelers, and your welcome for producing/grooming your Super Bowl winning QB.

Defense wins championships. Although the offense is starting to gel.
