UConn keeps themselves in it by breaking up a long pass on a fake FG

Another costly 3rd down drop and another punt

Uconn going too long without a score here. They're pissing it away after scoring points on 2 straight possessions, they've gone their last 3 without any points.

UConn has been victimized by drops here in the 2nd half... it has really hurt them not getting points out of thes last few possessions.... Oklahoma is driving and has a chance to push it back to 17 or score a TD and put the game out of reach

Broyles with a TD catch and it probably officially closes the book on this one

I think UConn will get another TD.

Oklahoma is going to win...but I don't think they're covering the spread tonight.

Most people will probably look at the spread and think that Oklahoma dominated from start to finish, but that wasn't the case. For much of the 2nd half here its been a 2 score game and UConn has had chances to cut it to 7, they just haven't done it, being victimized by drops from receivers/tight ends

Connecticut played hard, but they were overmatched.

You must be kidding. It was a BCS game. They weren't within single digits at any second in the 2nd half, and lost by 28. That is fucking humiliating. You could have put Purdue up against Oklahoma and they wouldn't lose by 4 touchdowns.

Automatic BCS bids are almost as much of a joke as the BCS is a whole.

I would not be so sure of that. I saw nothing on the field from the B10 to support the 11-1 Big Ten Co-Champs could have stayed winthin 4 TDS of the Sooners, let alone the Boilermakers.

My point had to do with BCS bids being a joke and the fact that if you lose by 28 points in one of the 5 biggest postseason games of the year you were entirely humiliated. I don't care what the expectations were. That's horrific. My hypothetical example that could never possibly be proved or disproved has basically nothing to do with the point I was trying to get across, and my entire post certainly had nothing to do with conference ties as a whole. I don't think the Big 10, SEC, or Big 12 should get an automatic bid either.
