Perkins committed to Kelly Thursday immediately after receiving the offer.
When Notre Dame had a meeting scheduled on June 2 with plans to extend an offer, Irish head coach Brian Kelly asked four-star Perkins about his timetable regarding a college decision.
The 6-2, 210-pound prospect looked up at the clock in the room.
"Then I said well shoot, how about now," Perkins reported to BlueandGold.com after the meeting.

My only complaint (sans Floyd.. :( ) this offseason is that the alternate jerseys for the Michigan game won't be in NCAA 12. So, all things considered things have gone very well haha

Impressive thus far by Kelly. The nice thing is he is addressing some pressing needs just like the Dline haul he had in the last recruting campaign.

Well we see how they do with getting some running backs in the fold. I can see them snagging a few more five-star guys though, the offers are out and Notre Dame is in the hunt. To see the Irish pull in a USC-esque class would be remarkable.

If the Irish win ten games this season, I think there's a good chance you'll see somewhere around 5 five-star guys. Guys like Andrus Peat, John Theus, Keith Marshall, Noah Spence, Shaq Thompson, Gunner Kiel...and Dorial Green-Beckham ( :o ) are all still out there and have the coveted five stars.

It takes wins to get these blue chippers in and I agree, a 10 win season would do wonders for that. I'm excited about what's going on in South Bend and the job Kelly has done so far but again, he has to get it done on the field.

Shepard and Greenberry were on ISD's Power Hour last night, and they said they've both been working on Shaq Thompson. Would be a huge get. Still in the mix for Geno Smith and Yuri Wright too.

I'm nothing less than shocked to see how many elite DB's are legitimately interested in Notre Dame. I think Yuri Wright would have committed already if the depth wasn't an issue, and I think he'll still commit anyway.

Shaq Thompson would be a GREAT snag.

Poser une question...

So I'm definitely going to the South Florida game with 2-3 buddies of mine. I went to the Purdue game last season, my first game as a few of you may remember, and it was incredible. Since the quarter won't start at Ohio State it makes since to go then. Of course, the fuckers in charge in Bricker Hall are switching to semesters, throwing my Ireland trip for the Navy game next year in jeopardy. I digress...

Given my location in Columbus, it's only 3.5 hours to Pittsburgh and 4 hours to West Lafayette. I'm thinking about going to two games this season (South Florida and one of these). Have any of you been to games there? Is it worth the trip? I'm leaning slightly towards West Lafayette as I think the tickets would be cheaper because Purdont sorta blows. They're selling for $80+ dollars on stubhub vs, $110+ for Pittsburgh...not that I would ever buy from there I would scalp no doubt.
