I wouldn't wanna buy a house because with the line of work I plan on getting into, I'd never ever be there. IMO, the less maintenance, the better.

If I was given 100 mil, I'm giving 5 to the rents, 2.5 each to my bro and to my sis. I'd donate enough money to build my high school a football stadium. I'd buy a new truck, suv, sports car. I'd buy a house in key west and a house on the Scioto River. I'd go on a vacation in Europe/Asia with my girlfriend and some of my friends. I'd also give a mil to each of my closest friends. I'd also like to start up some sort of charity, not sure in what capacity though.
Oh yea, I'd also walk up to complete strangers and offer them thousands of dollars to do ridiculous shit.

Pay of any debts (including mortgages) owed by myself and immediate family members. I would then need to see how much I had left before making any other decisions. Probably a full month of traveling. I would keep my job.
