USA won their opening game last night in overtime over Finland, 3-2, as Nick Bjugstad hit the game-winner. Last year, Team USA beat Canada in Saskatchewan, in dramatic fashion, to halt their streak of 5 straight championships.

Team USA features 3 CCHA players (Brown, Merrill from Michigan, Johns from Notre Dame). Keep an eye on Jerry D'Amigo - he's pretty good and should make noise in the NHL sooner rather than later.
Blue Jackets fans: you can get a glimpse of the future when 2010 first-rounder Ryan Johansen (number 19) suits up for team Canada. He had one goal and 7 shots on goal in Canada's win over Russia yesterday.

USA is getting embarrassed. They look like shit. Actually Canada's defense looks really good. USA can barely cross the blue line without Canada forcing a turnover.
