Yes, I did see a beaver. One big hairy beaver. Saw it today over by Big Darby Creek. Has anyone else seen a beaver out in the wilds?

Careful. If they get around, they might have a disease that can be transmitted by contact.

Several along the Stillwater River near the Englewood Reserve... There are lots of 4" to 6" trees gnawed off at about 12" about the ground.

Couple weeks back I petted one, then it hissed. Gave it a couple light smacks, was a lot friendlier. Most of 'em are OK.

Probably more than one or two have diseases... its the not so good looking ones that don't transmit upon contact

They couldn't get enough Beaver back in the 50's, and heck it was syndicated TV everyday back in the 80's.

I once gazed upon the elusive blonde beaver. It was very friendly but would not allow me to take pictures.

The next time I saw the same beaver, I was ready to covertly take a few pics, but it was bald. I have no way to prove it now...

^^^because at one point in your life, Hammerin'Hank, you once hammered a beaver. But then again, maybe not. All depends on what tree you swing from to hammer that beaver.
