And why do you suppose that is? LOL

And why do you think a Browns game is never blacked out?

Um I don't know, maybe because they currently have 3 wins? I live in SE Ohio, they always play who has the better record out of the Bengals and Browns.

Once again, if you guys want to brag about rarely being blacked-out, that's cool. You really do not have much more you can throw in a Bengal fan's face. Because obviously you aren't going to be bragging about recent history any time soon.

You are missing the point. You guys haven't been to the playoffs in years. You haven't been good for years. Thus you do not have anything you can throw in our face besides the fact that you never have a game blacked-out up there.

That's all well and good, and certainly something you can hang over our heads. But that's it. I at least have recent memories of my team in the playoffs.

I saw a lot of empty seats in Cleveland today.

How can I troll on a thread made specifically to troll Bengals fans?

I take pride in my fanbase, which holds a lot more importance to me than 2 first round playoff losses in the last 20 years.

By the way, the Bengals have 2 first round playoff losses this decade...the Browns have 1...so go ahead and hang your head on that lol

Ok, so Browns fans buy tickets they just don't show up. Makes sense.

I'm not sure why I am even bothering with S&L actually. Dude knows all about being a bandwagon fan. I mean what else would you call somebody who roots for Buckeye football and Kansas basketball? haha

Cleveland fans better get their jabs in now though. Once baseball season starts, I think we all know that it is going to be another long season for Cleveland fans. I imagine we'll still have like_that making random appearances shooting off his mouth about how the Reds are not going to make the playoffs again like he did all last season.

13-10 Bengals entering the 4th.
If the Chargas lose this game, Norv Turner has to the worst coach in the NFL.

Someone on my facebook feed was talking about how much better the Bengals are without TO and Ochocinco -- guess it really showed today. Wonder if this same team will show up next week in Baltimore.

Bengals kick the shit out of a team fighting for the playoffs a week after beating the Browns. Cool.

The Bengals played today the way they should've played all year. They have no reason to have the record they do.

I was really impressed with Jerome Simpson today... him, Caldwell, Shipley & Gresham looked great and Palmer actually had time to throw the ball ... 16/21 - 269yds 4TD's 0Int's ... Carlos Dunlap is gonna be a stud next year, basically only half a season of playing time and has 8 sacks as a rookie

Went to the game with the wife today with free tix and damn it was cold. Only had to pay $5 to park a few blocks away. The wife lasted til the second Simpson TD so I was happy to leave after that.

Carson is so much better when he has to make some reads rather than just lock into Chad or TO. I'm willing to give him another shot next year. It's crazy to think how much they wasted by keeping Simpson on the bench the last few years. Mike Brown should fire the GM for that, he must not be a good talent evaluator... oh wait.

As for the Bengals fan base, nobody is going to claim it's great but it's certainly good. Cincy will always be a baseball town and there isn't a NFL team in the country who could lose 11 straight and have anyone but diehard fans still interested. To look at sellouts to judge fans is ridiculous. If anything, it just shows that Bengals fans are smart not to give Mikey their money. The only way he will have to improve the team is by not selling out and losing ticket, concessions, and advertising money. Hell, they didn't even sell out last year without bailouts when they won the division, that's further proof people just don't want to give their money to Mikey. You can go to Kroger any Sunday morning and most employees and customers will still have their Bengals gear on. Same with sports bars when they are actually on tv. Just because people don't go to games doesn't mean they aren't fans. I'd much rather spend $40-60 at a local bar then $100 on a ticket and parking without any beer/food at the game when it's going to an idiot owner.

jordo212000;613842 wrote:It is really no different than how Cavs fans have reacted this year. I mean we had to listen to some goobers try and say that they were going to make the playoffs this year along with all the other nonsense they spewed all preseason. Now there is rarely any conversation regarding the Cavs.

This is a far cry from last season when there was a game thread every night. How come that hasn't been going on still haha? You guys were supposed to be winning a title before Lebron!
SportsAndLady;613844 wrote:Nice spin.
lol I don't ever agree with S&L but his post here is spot on. This is a typical Jordo tactic where he brings up something completely irrelevant to the topic, because he has no realistic way to support his argument. He did the same thing when we were talking about the MLB system by bringing up the NBA which had nothing to do with the argument. Just a news flash jordo, not every Browns fan is a Cavs fan.
jordo212000;613847 wrote:Far from it actually haha. If you get your jollies by camping on Bengal related threads and beat your chest because you guys suck slightly less than we do, well that's just fine. I promise you that you cannot make me mad.

I guess the difference between our fanbases is that we aren't delusional and we have more important things to do than beat a dead horse. We know we aren't good this year, we know Palmer is done and we need a QB, and we know Ocho & TO are taking their talents elsewhere. The team plays uninspired football and shows little heart. It is hard to get behind a team like that and support them when you can tell they are just putting in their time. I've got better things to do than post game updates for a sinking ship that isn't even on tv. Sorry, but I do not want to watch the ESPN gamecast.

I can tell when you are getting butt hurt, because you always say "ha ha" to save face.

And no, the difference between our fan bases is we actually support our team whether they are piss poor or playoff contenders. There is a reason why the Browns have had ZERO games blacked out since coming back in 99'. Can't say the same about the piss poor bengals fan base. I have heard every excuse in the book. Here are a few: "we are the younger team" (about 46 years old lol), "the economy is bad (Cleveland's is far worse), "i have better things to do than watch a shitty team" (thanks for proving our point), and "sorry we aren't discussing a game that isn't on tv (have you heard of atdhe.net?? Or any other live stream that is always discussed on this forum????)

Just because we support our team doesn't make us delusional. I haven't seen anyone discussing how we are the best team, or about how we will be in the Super Bowl next year. In fact when it comes to Cleveland fans, we are typically more pessimistic than optimistic. Nice fail though.
