Yes, I do also. Merry Christmas. Remember, Jesus is the Reason for the Season. May God bless you and your family.

This is the first year that I didn't send any Christmas cards. I have received quite a few. I'm sure that next year I will receive less cards because I didn't send any this year. The reason is decided to spend more time doing special things for the people that are closest to me. And I was sick with the flu for a week this month which set me behind.

I've read where many of you don't send any cards. Why is that? Was it not a tradition when you grew up? If so, why stop?

I've gotten a few and I sent out 20, mostly to family and close friends. I think cost has a lot to do with why people don't send out cards like they used to. Not necessarily the cost of the cards themselves, but the cost of postage to male cards. You're talking nearly $50 if you send out 100 cards (like my grandparents used to. It cost them half that 10 years ago.

We send them and add people to our list each year. We write a personalized note to each person sharing our greatfullness that our lives include them and wish them a wonderful Christmas. We even send them to our neighbors.

I have no idea how many we send nor does it matter to me. I certainly don't know how many we receive. I wouldn't* count them.

Con, that is awesome.....writing a personalized note to each. One of the things I enjoy most is reading the letters that give a year in review for that given family...I just wish I would take the time to do the same, but 150 photo cards and postage puts me out enough $$$, let alone the ink to print a year in review for the fam!!!

...Since I didn't send anyone here on the OC a card this year, here's one I'm sure most will appreciate.

Merry Christmas
