On break from school these next couple weeks and I have a few days off work so this is literally the first time since like August I have nothing going on, and my girlfriend has been busy with work and family.
So, I did the logical thing and opened a membership with the Family Video nearby to catch up on movies/games. The beauty of it is the first 30 days you get everything half off. I rented two new release movies and the new Assassin's Creed game for like $6 today.
Today I had a pretty good day. I started off with Devil (the flick about the people being stranded in an elevator supposedly being haunted by the devil himself) So the synopsis was awful and also not helping things was apparently M. Night Shyamalan was a writer. But, the movie was actually decent and exceeded my expectations. Would I watch it again? Probably not, but usually after watching Shyamalan films I turn the movie off halfway through.
Secondly, I watched 'The Town' with Ben Affleck about Boston robberies. This movie probably goes in my top five favorite movies all time. It was pretty sweet.
The bad part of the day was the new Assassin's Creed game wasn't that good. I really liked the first and second one, but this one just had too much shit going on. So I'll return this game about four days early along with the movies tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, I'll aim to watch 'Wall Street' and 'The A-Team' and see about renting another game -- I still haven't played the new Call of Duty since school kept me so busy. Also the girlfriend wants to watch 'Easy A' which I will allow since it has Emma Stone, who is fucking hot.
I don't go back to school til January 10th and work three 12-hour shifts a week so I have a lot of time off and plan to milk this 30 day 1/2 half off deal for as long as I can (then never go back there again)
Anyone else have any other movie suggestions? I did see Inception/The Other Guys/Salt in theaters and The Expendables last week so those are no-go.
