Yes it is disturbing and twisted... but you watch it like driving by an accident. I have not seen it in many years, but I found Eyes wide shut pretty F'd up as well (Kubricks's last movie).

I think it was rated X when it first came out...Either X or the notorious "NC-17"

Watched it and Eyes Wide shut in a film class in college. Enjoyed them both. Had never really heard about Kubrick until then(8 years ago) and was glad we watched them.

Excellent movie. Kubrick made many great films. I especially recommend Paths of Glory if any haven't seen it. Really interesting take on WWI starring Kirk Douglas.

I watched it years ago and really... it was boring to me. But I also should say that I never thought much of Kubrick to begin with.

I saw it and it sticks in your mind. I thought it was a good movie, not great (like top 100 type movie). I think it is the type of movie you only need to see once.

I too have never seen it, but the book is one of my favorites. I have to remedy this situation.

I just watched this for the first time in the last year. It was the first movie I watched on Netflix instant view. Not a bad movie. Messed up for sure.

It's no "Gummo" but no film should be.
Fun, not Kubrick's best IMO but fun
