LOL Ewok was pretty angry at Jackson for making sure there was no time left on the clock.

Tom Coughlin's conversation with the punter who kicked it to DeSean Jackson.

I dont agree that it was a smart play. There were 6 seconds left when they punted. DeSean Jackson has amazing talent and a complete disregard for authority!! How many times does he need to showboat and/or get penalties for it? You know Andy Reid has to have warned him on such matters?

Another thing about Dodge on that punt return is I laughed when Jackson was returning the kick and Dodge went up in coverage and tried to tackle him. I bet if he woulda just stayed back he woulda had a better shot at making a tackle.

Furthermore, the clock read all zeroes when he was at the 15-yard line. I get the intent but it was unnecessary. If he was in fact aware of how much time was left before the ball was snapped that play....he shoulda known that he didn't have to do that. Some will call it smart and they're entitled to their opinion. I maintain that it was dumb because it was not necessary and there was risk involved there. Just score, the heck with everything else.*

This. Not sure where someone got that the clock was at 6 seconds. Plus, let's not forget, Desean dropped the ball. At that time, I doubt he's really worrying to much about the clock. It's not as if he's running while counting down the seconds in his head. He just ran along the endzone to make sure. It's not like the dude behind him was going to catch him anyways.karen lotz;608125 wrote:There were 14 seconds on the clock when the ball was snapped.

Who cares if he is arrogant or cocky the damn dude is good and he can be. Do you guys really think he give a fuck what you guys think? Who cares what he does he is a player and I would take him on my team.

Only issue I have is that DeSean could've entered the endzone directly and time would've still had already expired. He didn't need to extend it. Stokely tried extending his play because there was still time on the clock even with all the extra running around. That is the difference.
They weren't not the same situations, also. Stokely was the difference between winning and losing. DeSean's was the difference between winning and overtime. BIG difference.
(edit)
Watching the replay again, DeSean was at the 20 yard line with :00 on the clock. No more time needed to be run off. So, the comparison is pointless with the Stokely catch.

Unless he is looking at the clock while he is running (????) how could he be certain all of the time had run off? I have a hard time he was thinking during the run about it. It wasn't until he was sure he was going to score that he looked around for the clock.

This.
He didn't start looking for the clock until he ran sideways. I really can't believe people are upset about this.

Also, LOL at someone saying there was a guy in the endzone when DeSean was looking downfield. Jackson had just outran that guy and was pulling away and was at least 10 yards away from him. Jackson couldve walked to the sideline and the guy wasnt gonna catch him. Seriously...DeSean ran around and wasted what time he thought was on the clock.
