Nightline featured this song last night- great stuff- Bowie hates Little Drummer Boy, so they wrote Peace On Earth as a counter-melody in about 20 minutes to appease him.killdeer;610453 wrote:I second that selection...in fact that was the first one to come to mind when I read the thread...
Bing and Davide Bowie have some really awesome fake banter at the beginning...and Bowie even name drops on Harry Nilsson...which probably made a lot of sense in 1972, but very little now.
I just downloaded that off iTunes this week so my kids could get a kick out of it.

actually a really cool arrangement of the song.
(I love the novelty factor of seeing those old early 70's variety shows...Bing, Dean Martin, etc. and the juxtaposition of the old guard with the 'hot young talent' of the day....)
